  1. People entitled to their own views BUT deliberately picking on one guy in a photae (yes he's a mate) once was bad enough. Repeating it was out of order. Not sure what the agenda was there. Not defending the actions of anybody of a Jaggy persuasion (and two wrongs definitely don't make a right in my personal book) but one comment I'd like to make - from my spot on the terracing behind the North Stand, I watched these 'nice' Pars hanging over the edge of the Main Stand taunting and begging people on the pitch for a fight. They showed a lot less class than their players and officials on the day. People all around me in North Stand were gesturing at them. Only PGB didn't snap them with his untrusty lens. Or didn't choose to post those photos. We're a pretty tight knit group in the EoS Jags, so I'm not trying to claim impartiality here, but this is random snap out of context. Jags fans have been more 'together' this season than for many years. Let's keep it that way.
  2. I haven't been able to get the Maryhill song out of my head all day. Please keep the bit about Shaggy and wife services quiet though. Don't want to cause a stamp and the man has a (fitba) job to do.
  3. Walking to Easter Road and corpy bus to Tynecastle with local mates who lack fitba taste. Not been to New St. Midden yet, so it too.

  5. E%EoS will be running one from Edinburgh but size not decided yet.
  6. Somebody who has seen the boys more than once should probably answer that but physically back 4 all looked strong, especially centre backs. Couple of the younger guys further up pitch possibly but not quite ready physically at moment. But then again I'm no scout
  7. Good day out for the Spartans boys. They put up a creditable show for a non-league outfit. Pushing foo many forward for equaliser in 89th minute left them four v two at back for Jags third. Great to see the King and Jaggy MacNamara showing such an interest in the young Jags. Also great to see the young Jags also try to play a decent passing game even when under a bit of pressure.
  8. We'll be there. Son - also a Jags ST holder - is in the Spartans squad. I'll have to be a traitor for the day :-(
  9. 7Aug 1967. Jags 0-0 Nottingham Forest after moaning at father for previous couple of years about me not going. Stood in City End. Spent more time watching and listening to the one mad English guy than game. Family realised I was hooked. Can't remember first goal but standing behind goal for first year or two I got hooked on goalies. Niven was my first hero.
  10. Not huge. Saw him play for Edinburgh Uni last year. The day I saw him he wasn't an out-and-out striker. Having said that him and a bloke called Beacher our Bleacher or something like that were the two stand-out players in the Uni team that day and in general the whole team were very physically fit looking.
  11. Totally agree with LJB. Dark day for fitba. FWIW I Wrote about it in fit of astonishment and anger yesterdat here https://tammcturk.jux.com/
  12. Apparently not: AT on Twitter says: "The leaked email from S Regan was sent to: Barrie Jackson; Jim Ballantyne; Rod Petrie; Alan McRae; Neil Doncaster; R Topping Also to Rod (Harper Macleod) and A S Leigh"
  13. With the latest Div 3 statements from Peterhead and Arbroath (who also have somebody on the SFL Board) it is looking increasingly unlikely that the pressure of the SFA, SPL and their mates in the media is working. I still stick with my view that 'they' are too much of a financial basket case to be allowed entry at all at the moment but now hope that our board will smell the coffee and vote for div 3 so we can all get on with the fitba again.
