  1. Good idea but might be better to leave it a wee bit as they're still holding inquests into Friday's vote.
  2. Should get a bonus having the city to ourselves that day.. I see Celtic are playing Real Madrid in the USA and Rangers have a glamour tie away to Peterhead.
  3. padlocks are nae use they'll just use bolt cutters.
  4. It would've coming to think about it. Meanwhile I'm having fun asking fans of that great defunct institution "What team do you support? When they reply "Rangers" I then ask "but who's your big team? Childish I know but.....
  5. I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order, Sunshine!
  6. I'm giving this one a miss. Was going to make a day of it but too tight to get trains home for me.
  7. Probably for the better. Green would just come out with some more nonsense that's so far from the truth. McCoist wants 3rd Div football for many reasons. Apart from doubts about his team management skills being shelved for a good while going into the 3rd increases the likelihood of Green disappearing.
  8. that reminds me to give that nephew of mine a slap.
  9. I'm happy we weren't second. Can't really explain why tho'
  10. I imagine some route to pave the way for sevco to return to the top tier after two instead of three seasons will be on the cards. I can't see a way (an honest way that is) that could happen without being of benefit to us.
  11. Did PTFC get invited in to draft up that speel?
  12. Polis will probably have a say as well. A lot of these grounds aren't really set up for segregation, which will make their capacities even lower. Anyway not our problem
  13. Another well done day but what is it with Thistle and the weather? I was cold enough at the Firhill Cup day but today took the biscuit. Players look fit and ready.
  14. Wightman as he was often enough last season.
  15. I still fancy one of the clubs that intimated they would vote yes and declared they didn't on their website. Also instinct tells me never to trust Dundee FC. Just a wee thingy about Falkirk FC. Assuming Pressley is their mouthpiece or at least sings from the same hymn sheet then their big gripe is for league reconstruction. That in itself would be admirable but not if they voted yes to sevco to try and achieve that aim. I hope I'm doing them an injustice.
  16. On that list there's a few clubs no votes from clubs that previously had hinted at a yes vote. Berwick, Dumbarton & Stenny. Are they to be trusted?
  17. That is almost the stereotype of a football chairman. Doesn't make it right, tho'.
  18. Was thinking that as well but it doesn't tie in with the unofficial no vote at the SFL meeting on the Tuesday. Hamilton I note didn't vote then. On the other hand if we keep it nice and simple and go back to the sporting integrity versus financial expediency argument then I'd fully expect anyone who has shown an interest in SPL 2 to be in discussion very soon. It stands to reason if sticking newco in Div 1 was bite the bullet and Div 3 was armageddon then the in between option where they're only out the picture for two seasons will be getting an airing. I don't necessarily disagree with Beattie being pro SPL2. Remember the SFL were quite happy to go along with the drudgery of the status quo before all this. If it wasn't for sevco coming along without the threat of SPL 2 there would be no momentum for change at all. Imo SPL 2 altho' still a very poor offering would be better than the status quo. By being pro SPL 2 Beattie may just have been in the right (ish) place at the wrong time. Combine that with a collection of poorly scripted releases and it might be where we're at just now. It's not unlikely his name will come up again and soon re SPL2 but that certainly doesn't mean we definitely voted "for" yesterday. It's still feckin' messy all the same.
  19. Talking 'bout that in the pub. They might want to take the embargo rather than risk suspension or a lengthy cup exclusion. They should with a few added youngsters have plenty to get out the league.
  20. Clyde with a ground capacity of 8000 would be off their heids to knock back sevco in the 3rd. My guess would be Annan tho' maybe a fan owned crew like Stirling. just seen post above, so they are aff their heids
  21. If the SPL are going to be hurting financially can they justify Doncaster's salary? Hopefully Regan has dug a hole for himself. He doesn't strike me as a guy who's a slippery survivor.
