  1. It's likely that the Aberdeen bus was outside Firhill that early, if not earlier, to allow the kitmen to drop off kit and get it all set up prior to the players arriving at the ground around 90 minutes before kick off. With the poor condition of the pitch, it is also quite likely that an Aberdeen coach or two would have went to the ground to get an eye on the pitch to inform players how it is(so they can adjust studs/footwear etc).
  2. Scored one away to Killie in the first post-split game of 2013/14
  3. No. The 14 day ruling, I think, was abandoned when transfer windows were introduced. Both players are eligible to participate in the tournament. Aidan Nesbitt will only not be able to participate in a Scottish Cup, or indeed League, fixture against Celtic.
  4. The one that springs to mind is the penalty save v Cove Rangers in the Scottish Cup.
  5. He's not exactly reliant on pace so there is no reason why he can't be banging in double figures in the Premiership until he is 38!
  6. I also believe it is the first occasion since April 1998, we have went a calendar month without conceding a goal.
  7. Is our return of 14 league clean sheets in 2015 the highest number attained in a calendar year, where we have spent the entire year in the top flight of Scottish football?
  8. Bit of an impossible one, champ. Elgin were defeated by Raith Rovers yesterday. The full list of teams available for drawing:
  9. I think you might be being a bit harsh there. The interview with Michael Max was excellent and the only time I can recall him calling us Partick Thistle was when the league table was clearly thrust in the direction of the commentators at full time. I thought Bannigan was clearly very keen to participate in the audio commentary and that was evident by the way that, at times, Raymond(lead-commentator) couldn't shut him up, particularly first half.
  10. The points system has been binned it is now a clear six yellows = a one match suspension 14 days after the 6th yellow card was accumulated. It was the reason why Osman was dropped for the last few games of last season, to stop him having a suspension rolling into 2015/16.
  11. Which worked because Hearts have two physical, mobile strikers. They also have good discipline at defending deeply, as on numerous occasions we had two banks of four in front of us. When Djoum/Buaben did drop deep to collect the ball from Alexander, they more often than not sent it long to previously said strikers. If Thistle did that, we'd lose the ball due to not being physical enough up top, then we'd have a man short(in most games) in midfield meaning we'd be overrun, therefore exposing the defence. A lot of people dislike the one up front tactics but it is a neccessity as we don't have enough quality in midfield to cope with being a body light there.
  12. Euan Anderson is Saturday's referee. Not a name I am overly familiar with. Would this be his first Thistle game in charge?
  13. Kevin Nisbet was loaned to East Stirlingshire as a "Development Loan". This meant that he was able to play for East Stirling and Thistle's development side as long as there was a 48 hour gap between games. I'm not sure Robbie Muirhead would be on one of these loans.
  14. The office is only able to sell tickets between 9am and 10am - think its something to do with the police. You can collect tickets from the office from 9am until kick off.
  15. Having had a browse it appears to be the youngest top flight bench when we have to select at least 5 subs. The only other real contender was the last day of the 2013/14 season but Paul Gallacher being on that bench destroys the average age. According to Twitter(so might be total nonsense), Jack and Freddie are the only 2 players to keep clean sheets on their first 2 top flight games for Thistle since 1976. Would you agree with that TJR?
  16. Was yesterdays bench the youngest ever by Thistle in the top flight?
  17. I'd disagree with this. I don't think Conrad necessarily thinks the grass is greener, rather he would want to go and try different experiences. I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn up in a random place in Europe in the future. He strikes me as a guy who would rather go and experience different lifestyles/leagues rather than going chasing the £££
  18. Forgive me if I'm wrong but did we not play that game in Red and Yellow? We'd have had the home kit by then(debuted when we played Dunfermline two weeks prior). If so, then i'd mean our last win in our away strip would be the Scottish Cup victory over Cove Rangers?
  19. Neil McLaughlin was born on 6th November 1998, and as such is the first SPFL Premiership player to have been born after Scotland last qualified for an international tournament. He is, I believe, the youngest player to have played for Thistle since, at least, the reconstruction of Scottish Football in 1975/76.
  20. According to ptfc.co.uk Nisbet has completed 90 minutes for the Development Squad on, at least, 8 occasions.
