  1. douglas clark That is my forum name, I would like to buy three of these scarves I just turn up for games, sometimes. And sometimes buy SITB... sometimes. Am I allowed to buy or not?
  2. Or Doolan will see this as an easy opportunity to reach 100! Go for it Archie!
  3. I would like to see us play towards the North Stand in second halves. I think there might be something in this.
  4. I seem to recall, correct me if I am wrong, when Thistle had the odd player in a Scotland line-up? I am thinking back to the glory days when Forsyth, (both?) Hansens, Rough and others got the odd game. Nowadays Jackie Campbell would be a stick on certainty for a Centre back place, but he never got a sniff.
  5. See you fixed the first issue 'replying' - v - 'relying'. Well done.
  6. I think your header should have been 'relying on Foreign Players' Yes / No? Frankly. if we can develop our own players through the incredible youth system we have then, maybe we will not have to rely so much on foreign players, though describing most of those you did as foreign assumes a different result in the independence referendum than sadly happened. ( Ooh! Politics!) I am not completely convinced that foreign players are an issue. I seem to remember seeing Peter Lindau as a bit of a hero for us. And, despite his almost complete incompetence, I had a soft spot for Quinton Jacobs. Sure, the more local talent we can produce the better, but do not be too shocked if the child's name seems foreign to you. I recall: Elena Baltacha who played tennis under the auspices of the UK and was pretty damn good. Her husband, obviously played for St Johnstone. It seems to me that we are a nation of immigrants, and we should enjoy that. Who knows! Perhaps the son or daughter of Abdul Osman will play for Scotland?
  7. Ahem Mr Bunny, a Friday night game? One nil for you,
  8. Err, no Mr Bunny, I was there when we pumped them 4-1. Were you?
  9. Bowenboys, You should win. Without the surrender to good taste! ------------------- It also says, in an immediate and convincing way, that the players care. That photo is the work of a great photographer.
  10. What is also good is that he also scores goals! Brilliant bit of business.
  11. Think we need to see how Stuckman does. If he is any good at all we need to extend his contract asap
  12. Gary Peebles Tackle talking about tackling ;-)
  13. We are a club team. We have players that will give everything that they have for the club. The injury level might point to that? Ryan Scully has been a boy grown into a man, with this club. Frankly he has been player of the month and more. Often. That is not to take away from other players that have stood up to the plate.
  14. I have now got my head around the fact that we are not going to be 'top six'. That was hard to say, because I truly believed that that was our direction of travel. Injuries, goodness knows, long term injuries, have ruined that dream. And that if our manager just keeps us up, it will be because other folk have stood up to the plate. Will it be enough? I hope so.
  15. We would be forced to play development squad players. There would be no obvious option. What happened to the chap Penrice, who seemed able enough at full back and could actually cross a ball?
  16. As I said, ages ago, I am willing to help, in any way I can.
  17. Absolutely. There may come a moment when Glasgow goes anti-bigot. Hopefully sooner rather than later....
  18. It occurred to me that European Football has become elitist. To compete you have to be really, really good. What if, instead, you just had to be in your countries top division and, on that basis, you competed in Europe for the highest award? So, our boys could be drawn against say, Sporting Braga. That would be fun. We might win, we might lose. It would, at worse, add a couple of rounds to the tournaments that we watch and it could keep interest high, especially amongst the less favoured clubs. And it would share the dosh around a few more teams. ?
  19. "Hi folks, I'm looking for a ticket for Saturday if anyone has one spare could you please message me. I could travel to pick the ticket up and give you the cash on Friday or meet on Saturday. Many thanks." Me too, I'll take my place in the queue.
  20. On a scale of not at all, to marching for independence, he took the biscuit.....
  21. "Im fed up hearing it. Ye make yer own luck. Wen yer one on one wae a keeper an your a striker its **** all to do with 'luck'. Ye still never told me how he wis 'excellent'. I wid sack him but neither should archie have signed him never mind on a 2 year deal. I wonder if his agent showed him a video of all his goals that came off his erse " That is a lot closer to a goal than we've been for weeks. One on one with a keeper would have been a complete miracle a few weeks ago. We couldn't even play anyone in. Have you forgotten that?
  22. Tend to agree with the more positive comments on here. Scully, for instance, appears a far better keeper than I ever suspected. If it hadn't been for him in the last few minutes, I'd be in a post Hearts anguish. The boy did well, as they say. Lindsay didn't do much (anything?) wrong. Thought Barton fitted in well and passed the ball, simple, but good passes. A week or two ago, we couldn't get the final pass right. We made very few opportunities for a goal. Now we have folk te'ed up. Sure, they miss, but it is a step in the right direction. . Our diminutive Australian - Ryan Edwards - ran his socks off and was probably my pick for man of the match. I think there is something happening. Perhaps Rangers should be worried.. I think we have a very good chance of beating Rangers next Friday It just needs our players to believe in themselves. Archie is good at that....
  23. Thanks for the info. I liked Penrice when he played, a man who could cross a ball....
