  1. The one that does not have 6 teams between us and Morton obviously!
  2. I forgot that game was on the television, what position was Stevenson playing?
  3. Looked like a drunk managed to find a ref's top and then blagged his way on to the pitch as that was surely not what the SFA think is a competent official?
  4. Just a reminder that if you can't make the game this evening then online tickets are available for purchase until 6.45pm: https://tickets.ptfc.co.uk/packages/LZEmOKzmpW/e/glrGLW6ndo Good Luck!
  5. For those not able to make the game on Tuesday evening online tickets can be purchased until 6.45pm tomorrow: https://tickets.ptfc.co.uk/packages/LZEmOKzmpW/e/glrGLW6ndo Good Luck!
  6. So we will play them and Dundee Utd 5 times this season and possibly more if we are both involved in the play offs 🥱
  7. For those in the UK but not able to get to the game it is being streamed: https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/ayr-united-stream-information/
  8. The last two seasons have seen the winners only decided in the final game and second last games which I don't see happening this season. I think Dundee United will win with a bit to spare which means their points total will be higher than Killie's or Dundee's. This in turn pushes the other teams totals down. Also I don't think the bottom two will be as bad over the season as Cove and Accies were so that again means the other teams won't take as many points off them. So I expect one team to have a gap at the top with the other 9 fairly compressed. So picking up points on a regular basis will be important - no long losing streaks please. Even if it is a point when not playing well is vital. 3 uninspiring draws against Queens Park before Doolan took over would, if everything else went the same way, have seen us finish second. Just checked and since Doolan became manager we have not lost 2 league games in a row - long may that continue.

  10. I don't know if the club are planning to run a best costume competition on Tuesday night for the Ayr game as it falls on Halloween but, and this is for those of a certain age, if they did I would expect to see a few Senna the Soothsayers from Up Pompeii with the cry of "Woe, Woe and thrice Woe"
  11. As we approach the final 2 months of the year and online shopping generally increases just a reminder that you can raise funds for our club by doing your online shopping through easyfundraising. Any additional money coming into the club is always welcome. https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/

  15. Just to confirm that the game today away to Aberdeen has been postponed as the weather in that part of the country has been a lot worse than we have had in the Glasgow area. Hoping that guys like AberdeenJag and GRE2 (plus all the other Thistle fans in that area) have not been too badly impacted and are keeping safe.
  16. If you are not going to be at the game today then remember that online tickets can be purchased until 2pm: https://tickets.ptfc.co.uk/packages/LZEmOKzmpW/e/pD3aDQknzv Good Luck!
  17. I work in Glasgow City Centre and the weather this week has actually been okay (for mid October). Dry Monday to Wednesday and mainly windy yesterday and today so unless there is rain of biblical proportions overnight I can't see the game being off. Clearly there will be some travel issues for those coming from futher away, my main concern for the match is strong winds as nothing spoils a game like they do (I will obviously change my mind if a wind assisted Sneddon punt bounces over their keeper and in to the net for a 90th minute winner).
  18. If you can't make the game on Saturday then online tickets can be purchased: https://tickets.ptfc.co.uk/packages/LZEmOKzmpW/e/pD3aDQknzv Good Luck!
  19. Online tickets for Saturday's game against Dundee Utd are now on sale: https://tickets.ptfc.co.uk/packages/LZEmOKzmpW/e/pD3aDQknzv Good Luck!

  21. Mr Creevy now considers the matter closed so hopefully we can now focus on other matters. Good to read about some positive news coming as well regarding the Academy. Joint Statement by the Trustees of the PTFC Trust and Alistair Creevy There has been conjecture, most evidently on social media, since the announcement by the PTFC Trust that the Trustees have taken the decision to remove Alistair Creevy as a Director of the football club. The Trustees have been in discussion with Alistair and all parties have agreed that a statement should be made in a bid to reduce the conjecture and bring closure to this matter. The reason the Trustees took the decision to exercise 22.1.2 of the Articles of Association was there was a relationship breakdown between the club board of directors. The Trustees attempted to resolve the dispute, however, unfortunately this was unsuccessful. The trustees would like to express thanks to Alistair for his contribution to the club, in particular the short-term loan made when he joined the board. In his time at the board, Alistair helped to return the matchday programme which has been a very popular move and also enjoyed a respectful chair to chair relationship with the Jags Foundation. The business that Alistair is a Director of, Spectrum Wealth, remain sponsors of the women’s team for which the club are very grateful. Neil Drain, one of the PTFC Trust Trustees, commented “We thank Alistair for his contribution to the football club over several months. We also thank him for his understanding of the difficult decision the Trustees were required to make.” Alistair comments “The past six months have been challenging and I leave the club in a far stronger financial position than when I joined the board. I wish to thank the supporters for their enthusiasm this year. We have a record number of season tickets and this bodes well for the team to achieve promotion to the Premiership this season”. The Trustees and Alistair hope this clarification allows everyone to work together towards the ambitions of both Alistair and the club going forward which is obviously for the team to do well and achieve a place in the top league in Scotland. Alistair remains a director of the Thistle Weir Youth Academy and in the near future there will be positive news regarding the future of the academy to share with the support. Both parties consider this matter closed now and consequently will be making no further comment.
