  1. ******* sensational. Bannigan top notch, still think his career can make him a lot of money, huge talent. Goal of the season for the 4th from Muirhead, lovely technique to get the 5th in too. ******* YES!!!!!!!!! MAGIC FROM EVERYONE HIGGY - YOU'RE A **** BALATONI - EVEN MORE OF A ******* ****. think you're too big for us, ****** diddy, doo doo, conrad balatoni, doo doo doo, he's chasing ******* shadows
  2. Legend. 80 goals and 250 games for Thistle, legend. Been going since '92 - Chico, Marko, Kenny, Geree, Geordie, none of them can hold a ****** torch to doolan
  3. Did Dargo play for us? I don't remember that. I'm getting old man
  4. The night at Parkhead where we missed 3 pens to knock them out quarters of the league cup. Hardie and Craigen were 2 im sure, maybe davie lilley?
  5. I agree the 2 guys doing it today are really good
  6. yeh i can't make it out, called my brother he's having same issue
  7. Evans on the deck? And Davie Moss through the ruck of players?
  8. I forgot how bad our pitch was. Watching that team in that clip, granted against much poorer opposition, they would hammer our current team breaking forward like that. Dools class, and good to see the sight of Davie Rowson in a jags strip one of my all time favourite jags
  9. Hibs 1-0 garry o'connor? Sat 4th oct 2003

  12. bloody hell that's a good one, ive not got a clue! i know the st j player is paul sheerin but im struggling on ours!!
  13. Great point, we always looked to have a man over in support, plenty of players in the box when crosses coming in etc.
  14. that was different class today Not a failure in the team, big Dan brilliant, Lindsay solid, Booth excellent, Dumbaya deserved MOTM. Bannigan and Ozzy ran the show, Welsh played well too but gave the ball away a wee bit too much for my liking, but still had some moments of class too. Amoo played really well, particularly in first half linking up with Dumbaya, felt out game a bit in second half. Lawless played well also, and big Pogba was class, held everything up, still doesn't look fit right enough but he was terrific. Nice to have a deep bench also, Stevo didn't even get off the bench. Fantastic performance, well done archie and all the players/staff, more performances of that level and we'll soon catch the teams above us.
  15. good on the wee man terrific today and deserved motm. Still not 100% fit I would've said and Archie said as much in his interview on the radio, but looks a good wee player
  16. To play devil's advocate, neither of them have a track record of 3 of the best seasons as a Jags manager behind them.
  17. I'd agree with this, the obsession over 2 up front misses the point in my opinion. We've had the most successful run of seasons in a long time with 1 up front, but plenty of support for the front man and movement off the ball from full backs and attacking midfielders. Last season Thistle finished a premier league season with a positive goal difference, I'd be interested to see when the last time this happened was. We did this with the much criticised 1 up front. I think the slight change in system of forcing Welsh back into the team at the extent of an attacking midfielder has held us back, as well as losing O'Donnell who was a huge weapon for us. Losing Sincy and O'Donnell in 2 consecutive pre seasons has just proved too difficult for Archie to replace or develop a plan b.
  18. you've got to laugh at a club that prides itself on wanting the correct value for their number 1 asset in john stones, knocking back bids of tens of millions of pounds, and yet for bidding on our player they are outbit by a club 2 divisions lower.
  19. marc mcculloch, scott mclean, kevin budd, simon mensing
  20. I don't think he's related to him either
  21. Thought we paid them way too much respect first 35 minutes, just sat off them and watched them pass it about, they didn't really trouble us in that spell, a few comfortable Cerny saves, but first clear cut chance of the game should have been buried by Welsh just after half time. Thought Rooney's goal could've been disallowed for handball but I'd need to see it again. Be interested to see the stats on teams who've scored as few goals as us in opening fixtures then going on to stay up. Too many players off the boil and not affecting the game positively. Pogba looked good, other than that little to shout about. Ozzie and Welsh both want too much time on the ball, for me one of them has to be bench for another forward thinking player. We did fine last year with Ozzy and Bannigan in midfield, and someone in the hole, I don't see why we're having to accomodate Welsh, I like him as a player but we've adapted the system to accomodate him and it's resulted in every game I've been to in the lone striker being hopelessly isolated. I hate to be the guy to pick an easy target but I'm afraid it's going to take a miracle for me to even consider Declan McDaid as an SPL level footballer, he just does nothing but run about like a wee boy. Must have seen close to 10 hours of him in a jags jersey between his starts and sub appearances, 1 cross at St Mirren which resulted in Elliot's winner is the only positive thing he's done in that time. Never seen him go by a man, play someone in, earn a penalty, force a great save from a keeper. He does zilch. Archie must be raging with Amoo to drop him for McDaid. And I'm not a moaner, go back and read any of my posts I rarely complain, but this wee guy just is not up to it. Everything breaks down when it comes to him, and on a day like today when Lawless was crap, that amounts to zero creativity when our 2 support options for the striker offer nothing. As someone else said further up, positive thing is we haven't been cut adrift or anything, international break coming at a good time, hopefully archie can get a signing or 2 in, and get ready for Dundee to try and get the season started.
