  1. Sadly I reckon Milan may be away in January when he can’t even make the bench when we only have one fit full back (unless he is injured)
  2. That would be a big boost ahead of December. We have really missed him and Adam can’t be too far off of a suspension as he has picked up a few bookings
  3. Martin Woods seems to be the latest to have disappeared without trace to injury. Archie and Shaggy must be frustrated beyond belief at their luck this year.
  4. Good disciplined 45 minutes so far but a poor miss from Storey (who generally could do with learning from Dools who to trap a ball, his first touch really lets him down time). Dallas has been atrocious, following on from his calamitous performance here last time we visited. Summed up the stupidity for the officials for (rightly) speaking to Cerny for repeated time wasting and then seconds later his 4th official adds on 1 minute injury time...
  5. Jambos fans suggesting on Twitter that game is on with official statement due around 2100 - won’t hold my breath though!
  6. That will be a challenge but we could also turn that on Hearts as they will be under pressure to get a result, given both the occasion and their own indifferent start
  7. Whilst I agree we rarely get an unexpected result, we are actually very good at getting the expected ones (better than most) - our record against the bottom six since promotion has been every bit as strong as our poor shows against the better teams
  8. No Woods in the squad...probably out with a long term injury
  9. Another excellent result when you see that Dundee has four first team players out
  10. Totally agree, I thought Danny was superb today and I could hear him from the back of the JHS
  11. To be honest, neither can I...actually burst out laughing when they missed a penalty, had Jack sent off and lost a goal in the space of about two minutes!
  12. Seems Sevco have gone out of their way to send us to the bottom again
  13. Was not one for the purists but I thought we deserved to win and played some ok stuff at times. Looked to me like we were denied another stonewall penalty - is that 67 away league matches without a spot kick? Good point if we get a result on Saturday plus a clean sheet at last Lawless did really well at LWB and I thought Barton looked much more composed in the middle than in recent weeks. Pitch is a shocker, weird bounce and ball zips off it at some speed. Worth the £22 for the virtual demolition of the pie stall with that Accies clearance
  14. Might sound an odd suggestion but I think we should play big Sammon at LWB. He was superb against Celtic tracking back. He would also offer a bit of presence out there if we do need to go long at points and isn’t the slowest player I have ever seen.
  15. With only 4 matches left between now and December, we may have a chance to get some of the walking wounded back hopefully!
  16. I noticed that too on the TV, fair play to McCann for that. The goal was onside but the rule is a bit strange as Storey clearly had an advantage in the second phase. Don’t care though, we deserve a break
  17. And a warm welcome back to Gary Fraser
  18. And naturally left footed. Danny looked very uncomfortable on the left side
  19. Been saying for weeks McCarthy should start. As a young player he may be a bit up and down like Lindsay was but he could really cement a position in the team
  20. We were appalling across the park today, thought we were decent early in the season but the confidence seems to be draining away with each week we fail to win. I like Paul McGinn but it's a tough ask for him to play left back for an extended period. I think we need to try and bring in an unattached left back at least short term. Bob Harris is still unattached so are Lee Naylor and Jamie Reckord. Not ideal but Booth and Elliott are miles away and we need a natural left back (unless Turnbull can play there without looking like Aero did at right back). As an aside, infuriating we can't recall Penrice. It will make us think twice about sending guys out on potentially beneficial loans in future. Not putting 7 subs on the bench is becoming a pet hate. Unless the young players were playing, guys like Fitzpatrick should be given a chance to be around the team. And if Fraser is fit enough to get a run out for the U20s on Tuesday, he should have been on the bench
  21. This has been awful. Our injuries are brutal but no excuses for the mess for Keown at the goal. We look short of confidence and lopsided. If Turnbull is fit, I can't understand why he isn't playing as Devine is clearly not comfortable on the left. Storey is wasted out wide and his pace should be used against Broadfoot and Greer. We should be giving McCathy a run, the centre of midfield has been horrific for weeks
  22. Can't disagree with any of that to be fair, I was thinking that they produced more players than Rangers and Hearts with a much smaller loss. But the point about them buying success still stands, although I suppose they gave their young talent a chance unlike Dundee and Gretna
  23. Fair point LIB, although even for a club run in the red they produced far better players than a number of massively bigger clubs run much more in the red!
  24. My thoughts exactly, can't abide him but one of the best strikers we have produced in decades. You wonder if he had had his head screwed on a bit more where he could have gone in football. Got to hand it to Livi, their production line of players in the 2000s was fantastic - Griffiths, Dorrans, Snodgrass, McPake, Halliday, MacKay, Davidson etc
