You’re right , I’ve posted that I thought Ian McCall had taken us as far he could but the timing is totally and completely wrong . Having read the statement by the TJF having no knowledge of this is absolutely mind blowing, thought JLowes lackies and the TJF were meant to be working alongside each other . The Club has let itself down tonight, what an absolute shambles we are .

What kind of fan base do Livingston Ross County or St Johnstone have for example . It’s possible to compete at the highest level if the infrastructure is right .

The timing is totally wrong, I don’t perceive to know what is going on behind the scenes, we don’t really know who is making the decisions . Possibly today’s money is papering over the cracks of our financial situation. Ian McCall today made what I thought was quite a strange comment before today’s game saying these players had made quite a lot of money for the Club over the last couple of seasons which I thought was quite a bizarre comment. IMO it is the right decision at the wrong time , there had to be change .

Possibly a scenario, cost cutting , need to choose an assistant manager to get rid of and McCall decided to go as well

Agree with some of your points JJ re injuries but can’t agree that Ian McCall hasn’t been backed financially especially with Colin Weirs money . QP have also been backed financially and have got a slightly better player with the likes of Tommy Robson, Dom Thomas , Josh McPake etc but hardly world beaters. My own personal opinion is that without any real financial backing we’ve got to back ourselves in youth development, talented coaches who can make players better , have a scouting system to identify players. Having players like Allegri , Weston and McKinnon on loan from Rangers hasn’t enhanced our team , surely it must be better to give our own Academy kids a chance to see if they can step up rather than develop other Club’s players. You know Ian MCCall better than I do but in my opinion the jury is out on the direction the Club is going in and change is probably needed.

He’s not proven to spot new talent, forget about Doolan and Erskine that was the legendary Bobby Dinnie Most people knew guys like Milne , Tiffoney , Holt were ok players already . In terms of spotting new talent , we’re sadly lacking in picking up lower league players and coaching them to make them better . We’re going absolutely nowhere under Ian MCcalls management.

100% correct, a one off cup game , anything can happen. We always seem to be defeated before we go on the park, McCall should take some lessons from John Lambie who always gave it a go . McCall has no respect for the 3000 fans travelling to Ibrox and spent their good money . Doesn’t give a jot about the game ( his words not mine ) , not sure if he deems getting a playoff place as being a success, certainly not in my book in a terrible league. Hopefully his time is up soon .

He did take over a shambles , got us relegated( wrongly ) , managed to get us promoted in a part time league and with the budget he has had I don’t think he has built anything on or off the park in terms of infrastructure. Think we must be the only Club to get ourselves into financial problems again having had a lottery millionaire on board . Things have gone stale and we as a Club have to implement change .

Not sure I want someone with loads of experience and who are set in their ways . The manager I would be looking for would be someone the Board could work with over a period of time working to some sort of structure whether that be youth development or getting a scouting system in place to source talent. Someone who fits the bill would be Stephen Craigan who knows the game , worked at the Motherwell Academy and brought guys like Alan Campbell through to the first team. Don’t think this is going to be a quick fix but we’re going absolutely nowhere as a Club just now .

Jackie Mac started the Sports Science , Diet Management, Fitness Coaches etc , we’ve definitely regressed since then under the current management team .

We must start again but certainly not with the same management team . McCall and Co have had 3 years to build something whether that’s giving the youngsters a pathway to the first team or by scouting good players . It’s not happened and without doubt it’s time for a change . Let the management team go now and start building for next season.

I’ve probably heard PTFC supporters singing more dubious songs and over the years I’ve judged PTFC players what they’ve done on the park . So maybe you’re right I have no moral compass.

Not condoning what he’s done at all but we’ve had players banned by the SFA for indiscretions off the park quite recently , indeed one one of them is still playing for us just now, are you taking the moral high ground on what you deem the worst indiscretion . GRE has become PC , who would have thought.

Going to be controversial, sign Lafferty till the end of the season if we want a shot at promotion, with Simon Murray away at QP and Rudden off at Dundee think that weakens their teams .

100% right with your comments, just listened to MCCalls post match comments on Jagzone basically just defending himself ( should have had 2 pens , great record 13 points from 18 ) If you were at the game we were shocking , plenty of the ball first half without really creating. Second half John Rankin nullified our wing backs , scored and it was game over. Totally get what he says about inexperienced bench but they shouldn’t be , instead of kissing Sevco’s arse and developing their players ( Weston and McKinnon) we should be pushing our own players on to see if they can make the grade , guys like James Lyon and Zander McKenzie should be given starts to see if they can step up . McCall has been here for the best part of 3 years and possibly 6 transfer windows and I believe he’s been supported ably by previous BOD’s and we’re no further forward as a Club Guys like Owen Coyle at Queens Park and even McPake at Dunfermline seem to build squads within a few transfer windows, we just seem to be plodding on. Time for a change , even untried guys like Dools / Brian Graham should be given a shot at it .
