All youth players, which is great. But a manager bringing players in that will be sold on McCall has the best record at Firhill for a long long time.

I’m not living in fantasy land saying we have a club that should 100% be winning every game. We aren’t as big as we used to be.

We aren’t but so maybe stop the fantasy that this will change anytime soon. As much as I agree Mayaswell be realistic.

We have had a pretty bad time with injuries recently, I think we could have managed a decent run. Selling players is a big deal for a club like us and McCall had an eye for lower league players to sell on. Gets overlooked far too often !!

McCall isn’t perfect by any means. But do I think on the next 2/3 years he would have got it right and we would get promoted? Yes I do. And along the way I reckon we could have had Tiff on a new deal (sellable) and also Milne will go for a few quid in summer Imo. People think we deserve to be a Premier league club yet half our fans are absolute morons.

Say what you want about McCall but he wanted the club to Succeed just as much as any of us. Last manager to bring in a player who made our club any money from a transfer fee, and I guarantee we get money from one of the players he has brought in. I’m genuinely gutted for him!

Why get Rid of McCall then? Stupidity Imo. We still could have made the play offs quite easily.. Stability is what we need not a interim manager. Also if we made the play offs and lost and let McCall go then he could have left with some respect.

6 points off Second? With a long time to go and good players returning from injury. McCall deserved until the end of the season. I’m quite pissed off about this to be honest, handled terribly for someone who has done nothing but give our club his best.

I honestly don’t feel like McCall knew, I feel like they had made a decision last week (the board) and maybe decided.. Well he deserves a chance to cause an upset. I don’t know but I do know someone who rents a space in Thistles office and I know they are getting a decent investment from a new sponsor which is very lucrative.

I didn’t say I even wanted McCall gone. Getting rid of someone experienced at this level at this point in the season is stupid.

There’s no cost cutting going on. Nothing to do with money apparently. Was basically sacked after the last home game but given the chance to play rangers because he got us to that round.

I think he’s a decent manager actually, who went too big too soon and should have taken his time and stayed another season at St mirren. Needs a chance to prove himself again. Rather him than Goodwin.

I’d take Jack Ross if we could get him, I genuinely can’t think of anyone else I’d be happy to see.

Jim Goodwin been mentioned, I’d have stuck with McCall

Only 6 points off second place he deserved until the end of the season. Had some poor results this season but he deserved to finish the season the guy deserves far more credit than he ever gets. Hope he gets a decent job lined up.

Crazy decision, crazy timing if things are bad financially then getting rid of McCall is ridiculous. Can see us going on a major downward spiral. Of course I hope I’m wrong but time will tell.

Anyone know who the player Archie was talking about getting in was ?

How many times has he started Cammy Smith and hooked him at half time now, it’s beyond a joke !

My big problem with McCall is I want him to do well, and I think it slightly harms my judgment of how far he can take us. His signings have been Hit and miss and to be honest that’s always how I remember him being,! Personally I’d like him to own up to his mistakes this season that he has made and ask for a patience to have the January window to fix a few things. Starting the season with An unfit brownlie who I reckon I could outrun at the moment. Akinola who clearly has no confidence at all anymore and Sneddons situation at being dropped for Mitchell who has made a few howlers. His reaction to the game today makes what he has said is a happy dressing room seems anything but that.

We are either good or absolutely ******* awful. Really isn’t an in between with us at all. January is already looking like it’s going to be make or break for that squad. Especially with that absolute shambles of a defence. Needs rid of a good few players. Akinola, Brownlie, Smith and Mullen can go imo! I’m dying to see a CB that can actually organise the defence. The way McCall plays with McMillan and Milne so high he really needs A Osman type in midfield who will help the defence, without one I can see us on the wrong side of another few pumpings. I’d much rather see one of the young players like Lyon or Stanway get game time than playing that **** Cammy Smith.

Defence is ******* Atrocious, any one wanna bet money McCall will mention the weather?

I’ll complain especially about the 2 interviews from McCall and Holt. Utter pish they are talking !

From what most people have said I must be expecting too much, I’m rarely overly negative. I just thought we were really poor today. I don’t expect us to play like Barca or nothing it was how cheaply we gave the ball away that done my head in.
