  1. Feel like I've missed something here. What are these 'Thistle Pins' that people keep mentioning?
  2. I'm unsure if you're happy or not that a 1,000 people are paying £10 a month but suspect many of the 1,000, contribute towards other Thistle things too, such as the Centenary Fund, 50/50 draw, season tickets, strips etc. Does this also mean that 500 are paying in a different amount that could also be £0? Genuinely interested as haven't signed up yet and may do so. A general question for anyone that has a view. If I were to 'donate' £10 per month, do the club benefit more, financially, from any particular stream, or is a tenner a tenner? I get that some of the above have prizes to cater for but was wondering the best use of funds in the eyes of fans.
  3. I really do and it's getting worse. Wouldn't have slept thinking about that. He was superb that day, as were the whole team.
  4. Was at that game. Was some performance, with our central midfielder (can't remember his name - left for Dundee Utd I think), running the show.
  5. Watching with interest for the game on 18th Nov. It's the day before Scotland v Norway and would be good if we were at home, for at least two reasons. 1. I'm up that weekend with my Nephew, who's yet to see Thistle at home 2. As Premiership games will be postponed and with many fans travelling to Glasgow for the Scotland match, we could get a few interested neutrals Pretty sure that the last twice this has happened, we've got Inverness away, usually on the Friday night. Maybe one was Falkirk away in that other cup, now I think on it? In any case, can we just be at home on 18th November.
  6. Aye, you'll get Band if you carry on like that
  7. It's brilliant and shows that despite our disappointment (I'm still struggling to overcome this), we are after all, just Thistle fans.
  8. That's a great number so far and I'm sure, like myself, many others will purchase one after the holidays and before the season starts. (See we're now 1,456 sold). A great initiative by Jags for Good that looks set to hit the target also.
  9. Thinking back, I remember thinking that Lawless was hard done by in the season or two before he left. We had him playing out wide with the whole wing to himself. His attitude was immense and the shifts he put in were unreal, as he tried to attack and defend, with no support. It was a real mis-management of his talents and he is now back on his game, with the right players behind and around him.
  10. An absolute cracker. Thistle all over but very different from our other home kits.
  11. Got my first one 3 seasons ago and requested a card. Same size as a Credit Card.... When I renew, I just use the original card, as they just update it each season. Hear that others' prefer an app on their phone. Not sure if both options are still available or if it's just the app now.
  12. All the best AJ. It's some ride supporting The Jags and crazy as it sounds, I'd rather follow a team playing football in our league, than one like County and their brand of hoof ball in the league above. I would like us to continue to play good football, win or lose, in the coming season and know we'll be back in the Prem before long. Just one more thing, can we not just get to a Cup Final for once...
  13. There's no denying our own failings and I mentioned to my Brother, that we were struggling to pass and control the ball all game. We also seemed to be slipping on the surface quite a lot. No idea why. Maybe we were tired. In any case, if the blatant cheating had not occurred, we would be in the Prem, having played badly for 45 minutes or so in 6 games. I doubt anyone would have begrudged us promotion had we gone up.
  14. Thanks for all of your hard work. Echo what's been said above and haven't been able to talk about last Sunday yet. Still in shock but will add this; It was not in Walsh's gift to keep the game alive, or whatever else he thought he was doing. A penalty is a penalty and that most certainly was one. VAR should not have got involved with the sending off decision or the non-award of their penalty. Mostly because Graham was being fouled at the time his arm came out. It was not in the gift of the Policeman to decide it was dangerous to have penalties taken at the Thistle end. For all we know, he was a County fan. The fact that they were able to get away with such a decision, shows there was no chance of trouble. They could enforce this without worrying about any consequences from the fans. That tells you all you need to know. They would never dare to pull that one at an OF game or any other where there would be a riot. Scottish Football is shameful at times but I've never been so thankful to support a team like Thistle. Up The Jags.
  15. Know what you mean but it worries me that playing Bannigan will invite them onto us a bit more. Having said that, they weren't shy in pushing men forward even when down to 10. I'd go with the same starting 11 and try for a goal in the first half. Something we've done frequently recently. If all goes well, we could slow things down in the second half. All these other 'big' games have been boring compared to Thistles last few. Just watching the German Cup final, having watched the other two cup finals today. They just don't compare to The Jags in any way.
  16. Hard not to be a wee bit disappointed but that's only because we're so good. Another great performance tonight from the whole team. I've had messages from non-Thistle friends telling me how well Thistle are playing. My stomachs churning already if I think about Sunday even for 1 second. Let's enjoy what was, a great night for The Jags.
  17. Which is why it doesn't make sense to reserve seats for season ticket holders, as some won't be able to attend. Enjoy the game from Seat N100 in the JHS, whoever gets it. Up The Jags.
  18. I'll be watching from afar but am sure a full Thistle end will be giving it laldy. I'm away to put Big Country on. The missus is away but the cats are asleep..... not too loud now
  19. Thinking the same AJ. The team have been brilliant, so can't really change anyone. Banzo could be needed for the second leg.
  20. He also twisted the interviewers words and made out that we'd called ourselves favourites to win the tie. He looked worried if I'm being honest and was attempting to cliche his way to some form of optimism.
  21. Brighton do plenty of it but are great to watch. They do it with speed and to draw the opposition to places they don't want to be. Passing along the back to end up with no positional advantage, might kill a few seconds but rarely leads to an attacking threat and might end up putting you under the cosh. So agree that speed is part of the answer. The other, more difficult thing to do, is to probe forwards and back and not just side to side. Not many teams can do the second part, as they buckle under the press and just aren't good enough to do it. We're pretty decent at drawing teams out and getting in behind but seem to do it further up the park, where there's less risk. Very few teams (like Brighton), can do it in their own penalty box. No need to gamble, so stay solid at the back and play like we have been in recent weeks further up the park. It's been good to watch and seems to suit our present team. The nerves are kicking in, which is probably why I just wrote a load of p1sh. Up The Jags.
  22. Maybe just excitement but we're all saying the same thing
  23. The good news is that both Killie and Ross Cty will have to go at it on Sunday to avoid the play-off. That will benefit whoever plays them next Thursday.
  24. I think the JL Stand had more in than it looked. Pretty sure the young lads in the middle to back, were standing two to a seat.
