  1. Er, that was a stonewaller!!!! Surprised that Pat Nevin doesn't know the offside law on Sportscene....or maybe not.
  2. Well looks like I'm in disagreement. Any action that automatically and blatantly gets a yellow card when play has stopped is stupid in my book, especially when time has been wasted already 'professionally'.
  3. I'm sorry I just don't buy that. His professionalism was keeping the ball between his feet away from the Inverness player and testing the ref's patience. He had done that. Kicking the ball away in front of the ref just gets a needless card and ref added the time on, which he might not have done if he just left alone and walked away; he had moved it away from where it should have been taken. I hate players doing that. Pushing it is fine, kicking it away in the manner he did for no obvious benefit is daft. Doolan is different as there was an obvious benefit to committing the foul.
  4. How does that work - have they been shown elsewhere so the proxy makes as if you are outside the UK?
  5. Where did you watch the highlights? Thought earliest is BBC on website around 6pm
  6. It is stupidity of the highest order - what if that counts towards a suspension when we need him in the run in? He had already wasted time by not giving the ball back and was right in front of the ref. Therefore very, very stupid.
  7. Don't be bloody stupid. Archie never changes things and hasn't a clue. We could have won 5-0 yesterday if it wasn't for him and his terrible tactics and poor substitutions. Sack him now before it's too late.
  8. Taylor was booked for kicking the ball away, which was stupidity of the highest order. He'd already held on to it to waste time and there was no need to boot it further away. Ref was spot on there.
  9. Bannigan is finished didn't you know? At least he is according to some trumpet on this forum.
  10. Dool's debut was 0-0 draw with St Johnstone at home?
  11. Sieb Dykstra (or similar) with 70s porn star tache
  12. Unbelievable. You pick on one player who wasn't the worst by far on the park. Then you hold up one player who seriously disrespected management, fans and team on Saturday night who wasn't deemed good enough to get a starting place amongst that shambles. Whatever. I give up.
  13. Goals and some decent performances. What the **** did any of them contribute on Saturday bar Taylor?
  14. In case you hadn't noticed the defence has been selling school boy passes/ defending for quite some time. Or did you miss Frans/Seabourne's comedy cuts for the first goal where it could have been dealt with long before it ended in the back of the net?
  15. Kilmarnock away in September. Celtic annihilation in the cup. St Mirren at home First half against Inverness in the cup. Celtic at home. I'm sure there at others, but these were all I saw in the flesh. All have one thing in common - the team either didn't look interested or chucked it. Last year i remember getting cuffed by Motherwell and Aberdeen at home and feeling more upbeat, as the quality between the teams was apparent but we kept going and kept trying to play attractive football. Which makes this season even more baffling. First game against County, Inverness away and Hamilton drubbing were better than any performance last year IMO. They can't just decide to try or not when it suits them.
  16. And still better than 0% effort from a player with talent
  17. Elliot has played well at times this season, including chipping in a number of goals. But don't let that get in the way of your vitriol. So you would rather have players with talent who can't be arsed would you? Plenty of targets out there today ahead of Elliot. Try the rest of the midfield and central defence if you need some pointers.
  18. I would rather have 11 Elliot's and get beat every week than some of those gutless, lazy ******** masquerading as players today. If you're looking for a scapegoat for goals, how about those sissys too scared to try and tackle and act like men for the 2nd, 3rd and penalty and countless times during the game as they went by us like we weren't there. Contrast with County at 3-1. We have a shot from the edge of the box and 3 players putting their bodies on the line. Where was that level of commitment from us? Oh and it wasn't a few wayward passes from Fraser. It was every time he touched the ball. He was so bad I was desperate for Craigan to come on. His confidence might be shot, but that doesn't excuse pathetic effort.
  19. Yeah - by you. Ridiculous comparison - we might be shite just now but Campbell finished 4th behind part-time teams two leagues below and took a skin of teeth penalty shoot out to salvage a dreadful season. He was binned in the first division in free fall. He never managed teams to 4 and 5 goal victories in the top league. You cannot seriously compare that to just now. I don't want to see Archie go but we have to improve, if we don't then hard questions will be asked. However I've yet to see a coherent, reasoned call for anyone who could do better. Danny Lennon at a push maybe, but St Mirren binned him when their winless runs and type of play was similar. So who else? You can't just bin someone and have no plan in place to build. Stuart McCall? Who couldn't hack a bottom six scrap with most of a team who finished second the season before? No thanks.
  20. I'm sure Dools got booked in the 2nd half? Handball?
  21. I don't agree at all. How can the substitution change the game completely when it made no difference to how we were playing. If you can't see that Aero isn't up to this level based on the games he has played over the last 2 years, then quite frankly I don't see your viewpoint as valid at all. Balatoni is no more than ok but he has too many bombscare moments and has been culpable for a high number of late goals lost this season and last. Aero on the other hand is out of his depth totally. Archie didn't need to change the shape of the team because we should have taken the chances created and dealt with the little threat Dundee posed. He changed things around with Higgy and Elliot swapping wings, and I've yet to see a masterplan with the subs that merited a drastic change or clear benefit. Higgy was always a threat in the second half, even if his final ball wasn't great. He helped set up the goal with some great work for Stevenson and was always looking to be involved - hardly the mark of a player lacking confidence. He was nowhere near as bad as being made out.
  22. I don't really see what the substitution had to do with anything. Doolan is great at holding the ball up as well, although he doesn't have Stevenson's build. Considering who was on the bench, I'm struggling to see what else was available. Eccelston, Lawless or the 3 younger players. Assuming McMillian and Carroll were injured, who takes Craigan's place in midfield when Bannigan has to play left back? Bannigan was good today but we missed him in midfield. Lawless can blow hot or cold. On for Elliot - maybe, but if you don't take the chances the original 11 create and not defend properly then making a sub like that makes little difference. For me the weak link is Balatoni; how many late goals has he been on the park for? With Aero even worse and not on the bench and Frans injured, there wasn't much else available.
  23. Nope. Not defending properly and not taking our chances cost us two points.
  24. I just did. 11 points clear suggests he isn't clueless. Can you read?
