Cant agree with earlier poster who thought a draw would have been a fair result thought we thoughly deserved the win overall. First half we were a little dodgy but still made a few chances thought accies were pretty good in first half and played some nice football. Second half we were on top although Fox did have one smart stop down low to his left. Was delighted for Elliott that he scored as were all the players by the look of it and it was a very good finish. Lawless for me today was immense covered every blade of grass i know a few players maybe played a little below par but still put a shift in but lawless stood out for me. Didnt really see the aftermath of welsh challenge was too busy shouting at ref to red card the thug who lunged in at him with a straight leg and studs showing. Wasnt a pretty game to watch but the pitch was awful which was a shame as accies pitch is usually pretty good. Great 3 points and 5 games without conceding is excellent. What rubbish--- Jags sat in 2nd half and let pars come at them all half and they were very comfortable doing it.The ball was very rarely up at the pars 18 yd box in 2nd half so to say any of the forwards were good bad or indifferent is just plain rubbish----imo

Yes and all teams who win leagues cups etc have a few games like that every season

How many teams have won games and leagues with a piece of magic from a player when the team is struggling? Cant understand any negativity towards the achievments of this team this season barring one or two games they have been a joy to watch and follow. Today was a very professional performance in what could have been difficult circumstances. Agree to many clubs in this country, the problem is how to reduce the numbers. I've heard people saying brechin arbroath and forfar should amalgamate for example but why should 3 perfectly well run clubs be made defunct at the expense of say hearts dunfy livvy and dundee. I dont know what the answer is but we do need to reduce the number of clubs.

the way i look at it is that morton have taken 7 points from us this season and are less than 7 points in front and we have 2 games in hand, that tells me we are better than them against the other teams in the league which at the end of the day is what a league title is all about

Cowdenbeath could have been 3 or 4 up in the first 10 mins, i dont think we were in their half in that time. We then dominated the rest of the half making 7 or 8 good chances but only took one. The fog had been steadily getting worse as game wore on at half time i could just make out the dug outs on far side. It was 50/50 imo whether the game would continue after half time. It did continue and the fog got steadily worse cowdenbeath to their credit got a goal and will be raging that the game got abandoned but the ref made himself look a bigger fool than he had done already by letting the game continue. At times in 2nd half it was impossible to tell what was happening on the pitch. No tannoy anouncement re the arrangements for next game and no vouchers issued. So a let off for the Jags and i dont think JJ will have seen anything to trouble him for saturdays game.

Yes you can buy a ticket in the aitken suite before the game You can get a drink in the aitken suite or try star and garter (5 min walk) woodside inn (10 min walk) strathmore (5-10 min walk) or munns ( 5 min walk) altho munns will probably be crawling with buckie fuelled jakies. Want to win the 1st division be a great achievment for a young team. Promotion to the joke that is the self preservation league i really couldnt care although it will be kind nice to play some different teams

Thought we were very sluggish in first half and the aidrie tackling was reckless at best. Improved in second half and missed a barrowload of chances to be fair to their keeper he had a few very good stops. Erskines goal couldnt really be counted as a chance but what a strike. Overall i thought we were by far the better team and thoroughly deserved the 3 points. Muirhead and Balatoni excellent. Erskine excellent and Doolan was as well. The others kind of huffed and puffed but put the effort in and kept wanting the ball even though they were toiling a bit. Hope i can make it to cowdenbeath tuesday night. Monajags

If Archie hadnt played Murray from the start we more than likely would have lost Bachirou ( who is a more than decent layer) was in Murrays back pocket from the off not defending his stuidity but shit happens. Peole are saying he could have cost us the game at the end of the day he didnt who is to say that morton or indeed us wouldnt have scored if he had stayed on. Why are these people not also having a dig at Fox who looked painfully slow at the first goal or indeed at Erskine for missing his headed chance. Its all if and buts and in the past what we must do now is get right behind the team and roar them onto victory

Not sure who the radio scotland reporter was at cappielow today dodds? ferguson? preston? but of all the players on the park he singled out Sinclair for praise calling him impressive. Personally i thought he did ok and i think Morton singled out Welsh as they knew he wasnt a full bloodied right back. Fair play to morton for spotting and trying to exploit a weakness but over the piece i think welshy can hold his head high

Win or bust? total nonsense. A draw would be a decent result and still leave things in our own hands. A win would give us a massive boost and put us firmly in the driving seat imo
