  1. very few of the players at firhill will have won anything in their careers and now they have a chance to win a cup and a championship medal, i dont think any of the players will be looking anywhere but at the chance of being winners and i am sure they will give it their all
  2. very sad to hear this. First met Bill some 30 odd years ago when i was a ballboy i think his son may have been a ballboy too ( not 100% sure about that). Always found him to be a gentleman. R I P Bill
  3. A very welcome and deserved 3 points. We should have won by a far greater margin. Paton and Bannigan were excellent. Erskine had a good game as did most of the others. Craigen was decent in first half but faded in 2nd. Will need to be more clinical to get the win next week and win we must to put a bit more pressure on morton
  4. A great and very welcome 3 points ,was delighted Erskine sscored the 2nd goal as the numpties near me were givin him pelters. Cant believe we didnt get a foul when their keeper took out lawless ok it was a 50 50 ball but lawless got it first and then clattered ending up with what looked like a fractured or broken jaw if thats the case he will be out about 6-8 weeks. If the challenge had gone the other way i bet the keeper would have gotten the foul. Balatoni mom for me but a few deserve a mention bannigan welsh pushing him close. Erskines 2nd goal was a feckin peach and worth the admission money alone. Falkirk werent that bad and played some nice football at times but we could so easily have won by a bigger margin. Roll on next week monajags
  5. Sorry took so long to reply been kinda busy / distarcted----tickets are gone sorry
  6. I may not b able to get to the game tomorrow so there could be 2 adult tickets up for grabs. Message me here or facebook ( steven campbell) and i will get back to you later as i wont know till later on if im going. I'm willing to deliver tickets to you providing you dont live too far away
  7. We win as a team and lose as a team singling out players achieves nothing i know its all about opinions but slating guys and saying they should be fined on here is silly really. Forbes and Welsh seem to be the ones taking the flack, so say Jackie decided that these two had to come off as lots are suggesting should have happened we might have lost 3-2 or even worse we will never know. Personally i thought Archie had a decent game but was caught out at their equaliser just my opinion and i would in no way want to slate him for it. I thought we sat too deep in the 2nd half and gave all the impetus to Livvy and on reflection over the 90 mins a draw was a fair result as both teams could lay claim to have had chances to win it. Just before they scored i was thinking about the game last season where we played them off the park for most of it but conceded a wonder strike in the last minute to lose----i really hate going there
  8. Draw was probably a fair result altho i would say our chances were far more clear cut than theirs. Sean Welsh stupidly booked for arguing with ref and then making a challenge from behind when he didnt need too. Feels ike a defeat losing a goal with the last kick of the game. Forgot to say earlier best of luck to Smith hope he gets fixed up. Couple of decent saves again today
  9. I'd like to wish everyone happy new year apart from the Rangers supporters who are adamant that its not a new year but merely a continuation of the old one
  10. Yep a looooong way to go and a certain week in April could be highly significant-----cup final on sunday 7th followed by Morton at firhill on the tue night( tbc)
  11. 5-1 v Dunfermline-great performance and 2 contenders for goal of the season 5-4 V Queens Park brilliant game to be at even if we did go 4-3 down in the 89th minute 3-1 V Falkirk came out the traps flying and havent really looked back since
  12. Really poor first half today and improved in 2nd but not good enough. Given the way the game went a point was all we deserved and even then you could argue Airdrie deserved to win havin had the best of the chances. We had plenty of chances to put decent deliveries into the box and failed miserably most of the time. Sinclair Bannigan and Archie had good games for me, Erskine tried hard but it just didnt come off for him but at least he scored a cracker, his link up play with Lawless was at times amteurish. Welsh clearly needs game time and Craig was really anonymous. Muirhead worked his socks off and gave it his all but sadly he is not a wing back too often the delivery into the box was poor. Hope this isnt the game that bites us in the bum come end of season
  13. Not at the moment but a few have the potential to become legends. You cant pick one player over another because he played at a higher level you can only take into consideration what they brought to the club at their time here
  14. Am I worried yet?-----yes totally and utterly This feckin cold better be gone for New years
  15. After totally dominating the first half and only being 1 up with missed of loads chances i just had a feeling it wasnt going to be our day. Awful refereeing and bad decision making cost us the game. Morton did up their game in the 2nd half but it really shouldnt have mattered
  16. Last 20 mins of game today was crying out for him imo
  17. Tbh i dont think he played that many games
  18. Im off on the 4th Jan so im hoping they will allow this so i can get one for myself and my son
  19. Wasnt sure about 10 myself but 13 is deffo Tommy Elliott-----only know that as he used to live more or less next door
  20. i'd hope for 4500-5000 depending on weather hangovers etc
  21. Great 3 points today from what was not a great performance. Good to get the win especially after going a goal down and conceding a lateish equaliser so the team deserve great credit for that. Ref was absolutely awful and the linesmen wrent much better. Tackle on lawless from behind just as he was about to shoot and mcguigans mauling and shirt pulling were stonewallers in my eyes. Archies booking was a disgrace and the one when mcguigan was called offside when clean through an absolute joke. Given that these went against us and that Raith played pretty well and caused us a few problems it was brilliant to get the 3 points and dunfermline drawing was the icing on the cake. Bring on the Morton should be a cracking game in front of a big crowd.
  22. Workmate was telling me that celtic fans are boycotting yesterdays and next weeks home game because of over zealous stewarding/ policing
  23. A great 3 points today against a team that can play some nice football altho they are a little light up front. Great cross and header for first goal and nicely placed shot for 2nd. Well pleased with Smith he did what he had to do and did it well. We didnt get our usual game going but Livvy were pressing us very high up the park from early on and i think it took us a little time to adjust.
