  1. If Bobby Law and Chic Charnley sign for DUngdee United I'll be spitting feathers
  2. Two pages in Evening Times today, more tomorrow with a competition to win two tickets. Scotsman had two pages today as well, though some babble from David Longmuir took up most of one page.
  3. You're skating on thin ice with that kind of suggestion PTD
  4. Was just about to post that Lucky for Swansea, they appointed David Brent sorry, Brendan Rodgers and the rest is history. Sad footnote to that piece that Swans turned their attention to Sheffield United coach Gary Speed. It's a funny, fickle old game at times. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/quiz/2013/apr/02/brendan-rodgers-david-brent-quotes-quiz
  5. Monkey heid hung? Gary Holt, whoooo?
  6. Big Yin Broony Robbo ALF Vardon Bulldog Taffs Dublin Jag McNeil snr McNeil jnr and jagfox.... oh sorry, that's our pub team Scully was at Cowden on Saturday. Wee Rovers fans seemed not too impressed. Would rather have hax their own keeper playing. When I saw them against Arbroath he sold a goal but saved a last minute penalty.
  7. He should try basketball, all arms and elbows. I'd take Spence over him. If he could get more shots on target he could have a bright future in the game.
  8. Last season, or under Jessie McWho we would have lost that game
  9. 0-0 with Raith having the better of the first half and they gave a spirited performance. Too many slack passes, as said by the OP two of these from SoD cost Muirhead a red card. We only had a couple of shots on target, Erskine in the first and Banzo in the second with what amounted to a passback largely to it being hit with his right foot. Pretty horrible game on a cold night. Happy to take a point on reflection especially with a third of the game being played with ten men. MacMillan did well when he came on and SoD raised his game. Raith seemed to fade out of the game in the last half hour and didn't threaten Fox's goal much in that spell. Muirhead and O'Donnell had a wee go at each other in the first half, with fingers getting pointed at who they should have been picking up. Muirhead was doing ok and Balatoni had a good game for me. Midfield struggled to find space for a lot of the game and misplaced a lot of passes. Doolan struggled against the back three of Rovers but put in a shift. Erskine kept going for the 90 minutes but didn't get the break of the ball. Ref seemed a bit sluggish penalising Rovers players but can't argue with the yellows and subsequent red we picked up. Oh well, probably more words than that game deserves, but 14/18 points in Fife is not bad in anyone's book and we are a point closer to the title, so keep believing troops
  10. Massive game tonight and the Ravers are coming off a big win. Looking at the league table(pleasing) it would seem Raith are safe from relegation with 37 points. It will be another stern test but a test we can pass with flying colours if we continue to see our players give 100%. Team wise I don't see many changes to the starting eleven. Upfront Doolan has returned to form and I wouldn't bet against him getting another goal or two this evening. So I would think it will be the same line-up as Saturday. We have the benefit of a strong bench and hopefully the subs get a chance at an early run-out.
  11. After tonight's match my thoughts will be focussed 100% on the cup game. Just a thought, but I'm.sure Brian Clough and his team felt winning the Texaco Cup back in the late 70s acted as a focus for future successes of a higher status. Winning is a great habit in football, winning trophies is fantastic
  12. OneThistle have done us proud and have put in plenty of unpaid hours to make Firhill a place to enjoy again, imo. A pre-season fund raiser might be an idea though? Lets give the JT and the club a chance to give the fans a night to remember
  13. Some great nights. Central hotel twice, hotel up the top of the town after we won promotion in 91/92, Plaza ballroom, Kelvin Lorne hotel? Good idea to keep in house if we can cater for it. Might even get along this time
  14. Don't be nervous CJ, the manager and club will give 100% effort until the end of the season. If that proves not enough, Morton would deserve to finish top We Believe
  15. Celtic have been watching Muirhead all season as well. Heard this from a wee Irish guy with red hair in Tennents Bar
  16. O'Donnell is in the maybe category category as well, imo (in my opinion).
  17. Balatoni - Hungarian legend in the making Can he play for Scotland through the residency rule?
