I wondered whether to start with "Unfortunately" or not, but anyway: if we bring in a striker, it's someone who will need to accept sitting on the bench for almost every match, getting very little game time as long as BG is fit. Even if BG's goals dry up (again) for several games on the trot, because he just might score one he appears to be the first name on the team sheet every time.
The thing is.... most strikers also have "barren spells." But any striker at Firhill who doesn't score when he comes on for the last 15 minutes or so, or in the one or two matches he gets to start, is destined to be a bench warmer until such times BG isn't doing what he currently does.
That's unlikely to be the most attractive option for a loanee looking for game time.
