  1. If they don't then somebody who bought a roll of PTFC tartan and got somebody to cut it up and stitch up scarves could make a tidy profit, I'd think.
  2. From the BBC: In fact, the most important part of Galton's work had nothing to do with eugenics, for he was one of the first to realise that science - biology as much as physics - needs maths rather than words. He was one of the founders of the science of statistics, and he measured many things. He made statistical inquiries into the efficacy of prayer - he got into trouble for that for he found that those people frequently prayed for, like monarchs, lived no longer than anyone else. He even made a beauty map of Britain, based on a secret grading of the local women on a scale from attractive to repulsive (the low point was in Aberdeen).
  3. Hang on, if these puns are good enough for Jackie.......
  4. Anybody at home. Get off to a flyer good start in the league, and more likely to get a decent away support on the opening day.
  5. Fair enough. No more bird puns from me, but only beakause Admin. put it so nicely.
  6. I'd advise against it. We've been herbivore, and it wasn't appreciated.
  7. Those are falcon awful.
  8. I would ban any member who tries to use a pun. No room for complacency here. Let's eradicate the cretins, half-wits, snobs and sweetie-wives now! Martin's right; it wrent too far.
  9. It's a shame, but the newly-hatched bird pun-fest has been grounded. Too eggsacerbating for some.
  10. Right, no more bird puns from me. A gut-wrenching decision, but I'll stick to it.
  11. That's surely why whenever Harkins a year or two ago or Erskine now gets the ball there's a roar of anticipation from the fans, as we get to see somebody running right at defenders and with a chance of leaving them for dead.
  12. Ah, I knew there was another insult, but I couldn't be bothered going back to find out what precisely it was. Nice also to see the correct spelling of "embarrassing".
  13. When we got relegated and the beloved Arabs got back up to the SPL the powers that be quickly decided to raise the drawbridge, to make it more difficult for any of the favoured SPL teams ever to get relegated.
  14. So far today you've alluded to cretins, sweetie wives and half-wits on the forum. Somebody ruffle your feathers?
  15. I guess for Elvis it's now or never.
  16. But I think there was a general feeling that the team was steadily improving in the last couple of months, with some youngsters especially starting to look the part (though it's early days), and Stewart looking like he could be a bit of a player when fully match fit. We've only lost two regulars from that period, Balatoni (I'd say the more important to replace), and Boyle, who improved to the point of being a decent left back, but no more than that. Still plenty of time before the season starts for one or two additions to strengthen the squad.
  17. There are actually some good ideas in there. With the massive roof surfaces on top of all the stands I'd imagine that a decent amount of solar energy could be captured. Don't the club also own the land between the stadium and the nolly? If so, get a wind turbine or two up there!
  18. I know a Jags man in Coleraine. Don't think he posts on here, though.
  19. I promise to stop soon. I'd be raven mad not to.
