  1. Agreed. If he'd made anything like the impact Mullen made as a sub then I'd have been happy for him to get more starts.
  2. Don't think I'd seen this one before. Good photo! As well as the two main players, who can identify the advert next to the McEwans one?
  3. Foundations for me every time! Baby, now that I've found you......
  4. No doubt he'll punish us for not giving him (in his eyes) a fair chance to show what he can do.
  5. Just tossing this in, as an "outsider": Might it just be the case that, despite all the headlines, fanfares about fans' shares, "trusts" and the like over the past few years;..... despite all the open meetings, supporters input, "elections," and so on, that at the end of all of that, PTFC in reality remains "owned" by one individual, whose desires will be imposed on other "directors" (who in truth have negligible directing abilities or powers and no real options but to serve as yes men (or women) if they wish to retain their "official" positions)? Is that what it has come to?
  6. But is it only Mr McCrea who really counts?
  7. Sorry, could you run that by me again: How would refusing to fly the saltire at Firhill promote inclusivity?
  8. Thanks for the info. Can't stand The Herald, but will check the newsletter regularly!
  9. We've had a few decent results up there in "recent" years, though I vaguely remember that one was at least partly due to some weird referee or linesman decision. Anyway, as I said: we'll do them. (I may be posted missing for the next few days......)
  10. Sorry, but for me trying to navigate through "X" is like wading through the Devil's vomit. Ain't got time or inclination. (And one might ask: Why further enrich such an absolutely vile, repugnant egotist?)
  11. I've heard people from down south refer to "Wangers".
  12. Who'll start the Countdown to this weekend's game?
  13. Two excellent crosses and headers. Second one was a fine move after the ball was won back in defence.
  14. When I saw it again, I thought maybe on the line, not a definite penalty..... But neither of the the commentators even mentioned the blatant tug. Can't clearly remember any incident that might have been a stonewaller after that, other than a tackle that left a Thistle player crumpled on the ground. I'm sure at muttered "Oh. penalty!?" at the time, but just shrugged it off when it wasn't awarded.
  15. Nobody claimed, but I remember one of our guys (maybe Adeloye) running along just inside the 18-yard line trying to get in a shot (which he eventually did) but the defender grabbing and pulling him back by his jersey. Clear penalty, but because he got a (weak) shot in, the ref seemed to let it go. But maybe shirt pulling has finally been deemed legal, given that refs never seem to bother about it during corners, for example.
  16. Great work by three of our star players yesterday: Fitpatrick, Lawless, and McInroy. And not to forget the goal-line clearance (boot up the park) by Graham that started it off!
  17. Yes, Ngwenya was okay. I thought he backed out of a couple of winnable tackles and allowed their attackers to continue their move, but it might have been because it was on his wrong side. Adeloye looked a real handful for their defenders when he came on. Pretty sure he'll score a good few for us when he gets the chance. Edwards of Dunfermline is excellent.
  18. Agree about McInroy. I think he's going to be important for us. Great work rate, skill, and dig.
  19. Impressive, as always from TTA! Some frankly brutal (and understandable) defeats back in the first season, but the cumulative improvements are clear to see in subsequent seasons. Now we're disappointed if we're not in the top half of the top league!
