  1. Agree, its a strong appointment as assistant manager. He definitely seems a lot calmer in recent interviews and has a pro license so don't think we could have done much better
  2. Missed that today, did McCall have any other info?
  3. Totally agree that with the positivity towards Wilson. Seems as though the focus is on building the foundations for long term success. Think a bit of patience might be needed next seasons but if there are signs things are progressing in the right direction he has my full support
  4. Actually happy the way it turned out but totally baffled by whats gone on with Graham. Given his comments after the livi game seemed he was taking the job if offered or was he giving himself an out..
  5. Whats the story here with Graham? Its all a bit odd
  6. Really misjudging the mood with that tweet. Take it its Wilson with the I's and T's relating to 'Partick Thistle' - brilliant
  7. Clyde 1 reporting its likely Wilson ( and they're all pals)
  8. Sounded like he might have an offer from Falkirk and fancys one last crack at the premiership. Wouldnt be suprised if its Wilson now
  9. Maybe Docherty , Murray, McCabe, Wilson Looking for people to list there 1-4 of the 'supposed' shortlist but that seems impossible on this forum
  10. Probably... the shortlist couldn't be worse but if thats the reality of it then wanted to see peoples thoughts
  11. Of the underwhelming shortlist who would be 1st choice? 1-4 1. Caddis 2.Wilson/Graham 3.Imrie 4.McPake
  12. Definitely sounded like 'i'm walking if i don't get the job' but maybe just being honest that can't go back to being just another player after having the job for that long. Personally wouldn't mind A Graham/Wilson partnership with an emphasis on bring youngsters into the team, and more of a long-term goal. No other 'outstanding candidates' in the running but would like to see Graham calming the i can do all the jobs routine if it happens
  13. Agree, and Livi definitely targeted him from the start yesterday- a team with the physicality of Livi maybe isn't the right kind of game for him at this stage. Him and O'Reilly also lacked a bit of understanding. Definitely one for the future but its a tough call for friday
  14. Stll not forgiven Walsh for Ross County... but showed exactly how to ref a team like Ayr- diving at every opportunity, obstructing the keeper, pleading for yellow cards- didn't buy it and Ayr had nothing else to offer. Tuesday nights ref Dickinson could learn a thing or two from that. Also what another gutsy give everything performance from the jags
  15. Team looked exhausted tonight and don't think the formation change helped- but maybe no choice. All still to play for on friday but can't see any of these teams going much further either way. Be good to see Ablade in from the start for Fitzy or Lawless to bring a bit of freshness
  16. Starting to think this could be the way to go with Graham playing on for a year. Hes made the right tactical calls the last 2 games against experienced managers and seems to have the players on board
  17. Massive credit to the understated David Mitchell, 2 match winning saves tonight and the save with his legs against Falkirk was outstanding. Also Mark Wilson seems calm and tactically makes preemptive changes that have paid off the last 2 games - deserves credit too
  18. Same wouldn't stop saying the winner was offside- without any actual analysis. Even said it to Ablade which was disrespectful as it wasn't at all clear. The Bannigan 2nd yellow(which wasn't) was barely mentioned. But agree it was probably a matter of time Also if VAR was there last night it would have been analysed for 5 mins and that moment wouldn't have happened- a great advert for no VAR- what footballs all about
  19. Agree and Mitchell was excellent tonight- has the experience needed too if we make it to the playoffs
  20. Wasn't offside- just bbc pundits (unneccesarily) trying to add to the drama
  21. Got it spot on tactically tonight. Grahams seems to be able to motivate guys like fitzy, Ablade and Chalmers. Whoever was making the tactical calls tonight- Wilson or Graham? got it totally right, not afraid to make formation changes, subs at the right time- impressive

    Doolan

Doolan pretty much had Thistle where we should have been, he was doing better than McCall and laterly Archilbald were - Deserved one last go at the playoffs. Not blaming Baraclough but given his CV not holding out much hope

    Doolan

Think it would have been fair to have given Doolan until the end of the season. I think he'd earned that. Things also haven't exactly gone great since Baraclough came in- got a bad feeling about this
  24. Results like this are pretty much why McCall and Doolan lost their jobs. Something fundamentaly wrong with the squad
  25. Would be good to see Chalmers and McKay in the same team- anyone have any idea when he's back from injury?
