Lambies Lost Doo
On a side note Dools is also good on the media. Taken to it very well on BBC Open All Mics. (To be honest he could punch me in the face and I'd be the first to congratulate him on a pin point punch).
exiledjag
Great appointment. Hope he can coach the youngsters to have the same first touch and composure in front of goal. Now another couple of Kris Doolans - that would be something special.

Apart from Kevin Nisbet (who sadly did not produce his best form for the Jags first team), I cannot think of any youth/ThistleWeir developed player who has made a serious impact on the first team (Bannigan, Lindsay, Penrice and Fitzpatrick come to mind, but there may be others) who was a prolific penalty box striker in the Doolan mould. You mention touch and composure, and I would mention movement as well. I was just thinking of our last season in the top league when the team was not playing well, but Kris found acres of space in the Motherwell and Hearts boxes for simple finishes, when you would have thought that he would be our most marked man.
