Bowling (Lawn Bowls)

My friend is a bowling (lawn bowls) player, and capped by Japan (the number of players is less than 200 in Japan, I think). The Japanese government should encourage bowling as a good sport for everyone.

In Japan, there is a sport called "gate ball" for the older people. However, bowling is more interesting and international.

In Japan, "bowling" normally means 10-pin bowling. However, 10-pin bowling has a defect as a competitive sport. That is, full-score (300 points) is possible, like snooker.

In order to solve this problem, 10-pin bowling should change the rule: "as long as a player continues strikes, playing continues". By this rule, 10-pin bowling can be recognised as a competitive sport.

Why are you obsessed with changing the laws governing sports? You do realise they have been this way long before you appeared on the planet.

Didn't you want rugby pitches shortened at one point and gaelic football crossbars increased in height? What valuable use you make of your thinking time. Is there a Mrs SigeSige? I'm guessing not.

There is a quirk in the rules of Snooker which mean that the highest possible break is unlimited. If the referee keeps erroneously respotting a red instead of the proper colour, and the player pots that red before he has the opportunity to correct his mistake, the break can continue indefinitely.

I'm obsessed with the rules of various sports, board games, etc.

However I have abandoned my interest in board games, because these games will be completely analysed by computer someday.

I think that the Rugby Union field should be same as Association Football (105m*68m), because Rugby Union is very often played at Association Football or Athletic Stadiums.

In the current rule, the field of play is 100m and ingoal is 22m (144m). But, the field of play should be 93m and ingoal should be 6m. (Rugby League's ingoal is 6m-11m) And the goal should be moved from the goal line to the dead ball line.

I do not understand what you say about Gaelic Football. However, Gaelic Football is a very exciting sport, valuable for non-Irish countries. The same can be said about Australian Football (I think that it should be renamed as "Oval Football"). Australian Football can be played in any country in which Cricket grounds exist.

American Football and Canadian Football should be reunified. I think that the 10-yard rule should be abolished; and the offensive side has 8-time offense like Rugby League.
