lady-isobel-barnett
Good luck to him I'd have thought Danny might have had to get more lower league experience before an SPL club would be interested but then again I never understood why McPherson was sacked. erzamacaroonbars
IMO I think Willie McStay would be a top choice! But interesting the names mentioned were not the usual tired names. I wouldn't mind any of those mentioned in charge at the Theatre of Dreams.
Third Lanark
Well pleased for Danny and wish him every sucess for the future apart from when any of his teams play us Think Willie McStay seems a certainty for either the S Mirren or the Killie post, even if Danny doesnt get the St Mirren post he is bound to be in with a shout with the Killie post. Been surprised not to see John McGlyn linked with anything, he's a very talented Manager. Dont whatlds for Jimmy Calderwood.
lady-isobel-barnett
Been surprised not to see John McGlyn linked with anything, he's a very talented Manager. Agree, especially when he has had a fair amount of SPL experience.
kni
The jump from the 2nd division to the SPL could be too much too soon for Danny Lennon. Kenny McDowall ought to be candidate for the St Mirren post. Gus McPherson should be considered for the Killie job. His track record on a limited job was very good and he did not deserve the sack. lady-isobel-barnett
Danny to be announced in next 48 hours Do managers not get unveiled or paraded? Think it's compensation that might be the stumbling block.
GrantB
Danny to be announced in next 48 hours I'm gutted about this. I really want to see him back at Firhill as our next manager.
kni
Do managers not get unveiled or paraded? Think it's compensation that might be the stumbling block. Correct. St Mirren can't afford the "modest" compensation - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/st_mirren/8714923.stm.
Steven H
If/When St Mirren/Killie parade/unveil/announce Danny Lennon as their manager who will the McCall naesayers think is an ideal replacement at the Firhill helm then ?
Paddy Thistle
a St Mirren director I know told me that they were interested in McCall but the asking price was not something they were prepared to pay

jags365
I see a 'Thistle-minded' pattern emerging The way the club is going in regards to finances, we'll probably end up with Sid/Maxi/McNamara as joint managers!

Steven H
Gus McPherson. I wouldn't mind that actually, if McCall was to leave and we got half decent compo then ideally that's a good shout....McCall and McPherson are very like for like imo

Well done Danny, throughly deserves his chance at the big time and I am sure will be a credit to St Mirren. Wonder if we can organise a friendly with St Mirren to replace the Clyde game.
