The Earl of Hathaway
They've got copies of his book for 3 quid in Bargain Books across from Jack MacPhees chippy in Byres Road. An erudite disposition on the state of the Scottish football 'gemme' from one its foremost thinkers.....or maybe not
chunky jag
Obviously loved chic as a jags player but i skimmed through my brothers copy, absolute bollocks. Barely recognises thistle in it, just one big love letter to celtic, lot of crap. few jags/lambie anecdotes, but given he's pretty much synonymous (sp?) with thistle, theres a really dissapointing level of content regarding us. joejag
I've got it and was pretty disappointed by it, but the big love letter to celtic???? bit ott.... I got it and it is disappointing. Not a contender for the Booker Prize?
lennythistle
Have to agree with the comments about Chic's book. I had hoped for much more from it. Given his contribution and time spent with us i expected so much more from the book. Highlight was reading about the infamous sword event at training and big Gordon Rae, Chic and Gerry Collins (I think), giving the culprits a right doing. Far too much about his love for all things Celtic in the book for me.

uberteeb
I like to pretend this book never happened, utter garbage and all about his love for ra sellic, how he almost signed for ra sellic, etc. Pass the bucket.
taffthejag
A poor read from start to finish. What was the ghostwriter doing?
gianlucatoni
I got chic's book for crimbo in 2010 - needless to say that it never got finished ... got about half way through and got fed up with words of <2 syllables permeating every page in addition to schmellik schmoozing
Mediocre Pundit
I think I still have my copy in the house. Free to a good home if anyone wants it - wouldn't want another Jaggy wasting £3.
cjptfc
Completely sh.ite book by a daft tim who happened to be good at fitba and played for Thistle. I couldn't finish it because I got fed up with the sellik love-in. I was misled by the fact he is in a jags strip on the front cover. The Earl of Hathaway
When I read it I couldn't believe they'd got a ghostwriter in, it was so badly written. Unfortunately, all of the above is true. There's about 20 - 30 pages in total about Thistle and his time there and the rest of it is just poorly written guff about Celtic. Dr.D
Never mind, he can always get a run out for us in the Tennents Sixes. Oh no he's already signed up for the Tic in the Masters'.
Jaggernaut
I've got and read just about all of the Jags-related books: Ian Archer's, Robert Reids, Roughie's two, Des McEown's, official handbook, legends,.... But somehow, I don't think Charnley's tim worshipping effort will be joining the pile.
