read'n'yell
Typical of a manager getting his team to punch above their weight for several seasons and the fans expect it to last. Hamilton have been woeful to watch though and seem pretty stagnent at the moment. Probably best all round. Can't see Reid getting a job with the new manager approach all clubs are taking just now. Lambies Lost Doo
Reid was approached by Swansea a few years ago and turned the approach down.
uberteeb
Reid was approached by Swansea a few years ago and turned the approach down. I hadn't heard this, do you know when this happened and whether or not they wanted him for the job or just to speak to him? I'm sure the Hamilton fans will be pleased, imagine watching his garbage for the best part of a decade. Even when they were good they were no more than efficient. jagfox
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/hamilton_academical/8812939.stm Was just about to post that Lucky for Swansea, they appointed David Brent sorry, Brendan Rodgers and the rest is history. Sad footnote to that piece that Swans turned their attention to Sheffield United coach Gary Speed. It's a funny, fickle old game at times. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/quiz/2013/apr/02/brendan-rodgers-david-brent-quotes-quiz
