pmm23
Hi everyone, I'm Phil from Chicago. I've always had a very keen interest in Scotland and Scottish football. I have a few friends from Glasgow so I actually spent a few seasons as a Celtic supporter because they were the most famous team from Glasgow and indeed all of Scotland. However, after seeing their antics, I decided to research Glasgow sides carefully. iI ove the underdog nature of the club and I look forward to learning more about it.
twinny
Welcome to the forum Phil. Check out the Nomads' (Partick Thistle's global supporters' club) section of the forum, it's a bit quiet but a nice little corner of the forum.
ChiThistle
Hey Phil, also from Chicago. Thistle's a good club. It's not without its problems, but there's none of the entitlement and/or sectarian nincompoopery you get with the other two Glasgow clubs. This forum and the Jags forum on Facebook usually are good at keeping fans up to date on what's happening. And you generally get a good variety of opinion here, be it from those who have a point to make or those who just want to argue an opposing point for the sake of arguing. :-) But either way, the points made here are WAY more coherent than most of what I've seen on some.....other teams' forums. Aye well wul sheeabootrat. Hi Phil. You've made a good switch. We do have nincompoopery, but it's non-sectarian and usually good humoured.
