NZ Jag
Simon Storey signed for North Queensland Fury in the A League (The club Robbie Fowler's with). Not exactly headline news, but the mention of Thistle made me smile. We obviously got promoted and didn't realise it! Just as an aside, how minging is that strip? Storey signs for North Queensland

The Countess of Wemyss
Nice to see that delightful Mr Storey still playing. I am frightfully unsure about his facial hair however.
Mr Bunny
Pity we couldn't have kept him. He's still relatively young and can play anywhere in defence .. we could really do with someone like him now (though we can't afford anyone). Paddy Thistle
Was it not a case that he wanted to leave as he thought he was going on to bigger and better things rather than the club releasing him
gianlucatoni
Interesting to see that not only can you pay at the gate to see the NQ Fury for 19 bucks (currently about £11) but you can also have a beer during the game and watch it in a decent climate. Adult season tickets are from 195$ (about £112). Anyone prefer thatprospect to a £17 bucket seat at Firhill where we get our collective baws freezed off and are much too irresponsible to have a pint ... no wonder scottish football's dying on it's ar*e. steven18313
Pretty sure he was meant to be signing for a Romanian Club after he left thistle as they would be able to offer more money but the deal ended up collapsing and the club went bust...then after that signed for Airdrie (not quiet bigger or better)....once they leave thistle it's all down hill for them!!! The Legend Blows
Certainly not the worst defender we've had in recent times. A wee swap deal with Kinniburgh going the other way would do nicely right now.
uberteeb
Do they play at the NQ Cowboys ground, the Dairy Farmers Stadium? I'd love to be able to go to a game in the baking sunshing, sit on the grassy hill and have a few tinnies! If only we could use our bing for the same purpose. The grassy hill at the Farmers has gone now cobber ... they've seated over the old hill so it's now fully seated meaning the capacity has dipped below 30k ... you'll still get the sun and a tinny though although some bits of the ground are tinny free areas.
