Lee Mair Signs

Whilst an experienced centre-half is welcomed - did St Mirren's results not pick up a bit this season once their team was re-jigged to not include Lee Mair in it? Perhaps merely a co-incidence - hope so!

As regards signings from St Mirren - hopefully more of an Andy Dunlop than a Billy Abercrombie.

I thought it was the other way around and he only came into the team in about October just as they went on their good run of form?

Actually very pleased with this signing, a wealth of top flight experience given he's been playing in the league since about 2005, should be able to help organise the defence better regardless of who he plays with as they look like they've lacked leadership and no one knows their job. Hopefully this one comes back to bite St Mirren. All the best Lee.

We will only be able to tell if he's a good signing when he has played a few times for us. I feel optimistic about it though. Thistle have the youngest and most inexperienced starting XI in the league and they are doing fantastically well so far but our young band of brothers need an experienced player or two in there to help and guide them through this first season back in the top league
