Clutching at straws a bit now...

Kevin Gaughan, Willie Jamieson, Graham Connell, David... Something. Ex Ayr Utd experienced full-back who Lambie probably inherited in 1999.

George shaw really surprised me. Don't remember at all.

Gaughan - 19

Jamieson - 5

Connell - 2

Jonny Blom. 8 foot tall Swede scored and provided assist in first game, did not score in second game (3-1 loss away to Stranraer in midweek league game before Cup quarter final against Ayr) and then punted.

Couple of younger players who may have played half a dozen games but did not establish themselves. Cannot recall precisely when so may be wrong:

Liam Bonar, Scott McArthur

Derek McWiiliams?

McWilliams - 48

Gregory Laget. 1 or possibly 2 games as a trialist in early part of first division campaign?

Nicholls (cannot remember first name). From Chelsea again as 1 game trialist. Going to take a stab at 1-0 home win v Inverness in first division in which Derek Fleming scored.

Laget - 65

Nicholls - Already on list

Andy Frame

Frame - Nope. Just before Lambies time

Has Jim Smith been mentioned?

If you mean Jamie Smith, central defender during Second Division title season, then yes. He's on the list at 57.

Matthew Shields

Correct. Number 107

might have played under Lambie during his caretaker spell between Britton/Whyte sacking & appointment of the bunnet iirc

He did, scoring 2 against Falkirk in a 2-1 win. Isn't on the list because he didn't play a competitive game under Lambie between 1999 and 2003.

Michael Brown, the goalie at the start of the 2nd division winning season.

Laget made me think there were another couple of French guys called Bochu and Tetu but I don't know if they were just trialists or whether they only played in friendlies.

Michael Brown - Number 61 .

Bochu and Tetu didn't play a competitive game.

With 10 to go, time for some clues as promised:

0 - Signed at the start of the 1998/99 season playing only once under Lambie.

8 - Signed at the start of the 1998/99 season, last appearance a 2-1 home defeat against Clyde in March 2000. Played in the first game of the millenium, appearing as a sub.

13 - First appeared in the 1996/97 season and played once under Lambie. Best remembered for a game away to Arbroath in the snow.

14 - Made 6 appearances at the end of 1998/99 usually wearing #2

15 - Played the last 6 games of 1998/99.

30 - Signed from the Juniors at the start of 1999/00 and made little impact appearing 3 times as a sub.

40 - Signed in October 1999, making 2 appearances for Thistle.

49 - A failed experiment at the end of the 1999/00 season making 2 substitute appearances in home games.

53 - Played 2 games for Thistle at the end of 1999/00 scoring a goal against Arbroath on the last day of the season

54 - One match wonder making a sub appearance in the concluding fixture of 1999/00

I'd be surprised if people got everyone of the remaining ones. A couple might jump out, but will reveal the answers at lunchtime tomorrow if people are toiling.
