Charlie Endell
I'm on the 08.40 as well - I'll try to refrain from hitting the buffet car for refreshments until at least Carlisle.

codofthenorth
can you get something to eat in Jims bar aswell? or is it just a pukka pie? cheers! Jims Bar has always been ale only. Theres a chippy across the road from the ground 'Highbury Chippy' its average, the best ones are in town, the Lord St Chippy or the Granada Chippy (gets my vote) run by an ex Show Bizz Giant in the music industry.Usual bog standard catering in the ground unless you opt for one of them VIP package deals....where you get decent food but not enough of it.Theres an Aldis store close to the ground for a 'carry out' for the return journey and the No 14 bus (most regular bus service to Blackpool) runs from outside it to Blackpool North, stopping near the train station...unless your opting for a taxi. Deduns in town serves a decent pint....cant remember its real name though. The Weatherspoons isnt far either, (the Thomas Drummond)...only two stops past the ground but well within walking distance....just follow the tram track.. Rid Skwerr
There is a wee snack counter just on the right as you enter Jim's Bar selling pasties and such. Emergency use only I would suggest.

Rid Skwerr
Aye that's the one.....as grey as the weather they've forecast tomorrow. A good excuse, then, to sneak out of the Clyde under the grey skies and get them to drop you off at Fleetwood on the way down the Irish Sea. I understand there's glamour friendly there tomorrow..... codofthenorth
Managed to get off for a couple of hours Rid, so the day not totally wasted, took in Broomhill Sports v Edinburgh Uni at a very wet Lochburn Pk. Not a bad result for the Jags at Highbury.
Charlie Endell
I went in the home end so I'd have access to Jim's Bar at half-time. I don't think the lassie selling tickets believed me when she asked if I was a Thistle fan when I replied - "Naw" and proceeded to pay with an RBS note...
