  1. The current arrangement is the one that works best and maximises revenue. Splitting the JH instantly increases the stewarding costs considerably, as we need to have 2 lines of stewards situated all the way down the stand. Currently we save that money as we don't need to segregate any of the stands in the stadium. The current layout of the stadium is the biggest problem we have. Blame that on a series of disastrous decisions made by successive boards of directors.
  2. Why stop there? Why not get the rebel tunes pumped out before the game? Why don't we all give our tickets to Celtic fans who couldn't get tickets? It's obviously a bigger occasion for them than it is for us.
  3. Swindon, by any stretch of the imagination, were not in the premier league "a few years ago". They had one solitary season there in 93/94, 23 years ago, and conceded a record number of goals, which is yet to be beaten. They've never been back since and are now further away from it than ever.
  4. I listened to the whole interview and I every time I hear the guy speak I can't help thinking that he has severe delusions of grandeur. He has a go at the level of coaching in Scotland when he has come up through one of the best youth academies in the country in terms of getting players in to the first team and selling them on. He's only ever played for 2 clubs in Scotland, one of which let him go for nothing after half a season. If he was a full international playing every week in the Bundesliga then his comments would maybe carry some weight but I certainly don't give them much credence. His comments have a tendency to backfire on him and I don't think this will be any different. Would not be in the least bit surprised to see him back in Scotland this summer looking for a club.
  5. GRE once again excels himself on this thread. When he's not starting arguments on here he tends to look for the nearest empty room - as these are the only places he can prove himself correct. Feel mighty sorry for the York fans, football clubs get wound up because of mercenary money grabbing selfish ar*eholes all the time and Jackie has certainly proved to be one of them. If he had any respect or even an iota of class he would have walked away from that club long before now. The fact that he is digging his heels in for every last penny while the club continues to suffer makes him a scumbag of the highest order.
  6. 29 starts this season and we still have 5 games to play. I can't remember him ever not finishing one of these games either, apart from one red card. To say he is merely a back up player - I'm afraid the facts just don't back that up. You can say what you like about the injuries we've had this season but if he wasn't performing consistently well he would not be in the team. At this moment in time he is a first 11 player.
  7. Undoubtedly now one of our most important players and without doubt our first choice full back on whichever side we choose to use him. He's forced his way in to the starting 11 of a team who has achieved it's highest league finish in 35 years. No mean feat. He's been an outstanding servant to the club and a key part of our success this season.
  8. Hearing that John Kennedy got caught with a marker pen writing "Brits Out" and "Up The Ra" in the JH toilets.
  9. Game being played behind closed doors again. A plague on both their houses.
  10. I would certainly go out of my way to watch an all Dundee play-off. It would be a tremendous occasion and a good advert for Scottish Football.
  11. Given the position they are in I am staggered they've went for a rookie like McCann. When a sacking like this happens it's usually because they have an experienced manager lined up. 11th in the table, 5 games to go - personally I would rather have taken my chances with Hartley.
  12. Cappielow will need a lot of work done to it before it's top flight compliant. I know they have bought seats and a roof from the old Love Street but it will still cost them a fair amount to install all of that. Wouldn't bet against them having to ground share with St Mirren for at least part of the season should they come up. But I don't think they will, the wheels have well and truly fallen off and even if they do still scrape 4th I wouldn't fancy them to go the distance over 6 games.
  13. Aye you're right, what a terrible season it's been eh?
  14. Believe it or not the young lad responsible is named Scott Paterson. They had to negotiate with Sevco directly to get permission which I'm sure was not easy. As has already been mentioned, the lad used his birthday money to pay for it all. What a brilliant way to show the players how much their efforts have been appreciated this season. I know he also had help from Manpreet and his brother Amarpreet in setting out the display in advance. They all deserve huge credit IMO. If we have young lads like that coming through in the support then the future could be bright on and off the park.
  15. I think it's inevitable Liam will leave this summer. Normally I would agree that another year at this level can do no harm. But his performances have been so good that it's clear for all to see that he's ready to step up a level or 2. We should just be thankful that for once we will get some money for a player instead of losing them for nothing.
  16. I'm sure we will if we are in a position to do so. But let's not start demanding that the club spend money it doesn't have.
  17. Why does it need to be "visible"? It's not a billboard. Wherever it is, the club and the investment company will be looking to get the best deal possible. There's absolutely no need for it to be in Glasgow or anywhere near Firhill, and I actually don't think it will be. Take it outside of Glasgow and you immediately have cheaper land and a more co-operative local council. It's no coincidence that Murray Park and Lennoxtown both fall within the East Dunbartonshire area, and it's no secret that the local authority there were very keen to have them both. If we try and build something in Glasgow we will be paying a lot more for the land and let's not forget we have been stung by GCC in the not too distant past. I accept that after the forthcoming local elections there will be big changes at GCC but at the same time, the price of vacant land will not be going down any time soon.
  18. The good news just keeps on coming doesn't it. For me Archie has to take the majority of the credit here. Had the team not kept progressing over the past few years this simply would not have happened.
  19. Azeez will be kept on for the simple fact that he has brought a lot to the team. Anyone who was at the Ross County game will tell you, we wouldn't have won that game without Azeez coming on when he did. Their defence just couldn't deal with him and in turn he created space for Doolan and our creative midfield players. When we got the 2nd goal he held on to the ball in the corners and kept the pressure off us. The game at Celtic Park he was outstanding for 90 minutes. I can't believe there are people still writing him off because of his goal return. He brings so much more to the team. I'd put serious money on him still being here next season.
  20. Very hard to argue against big Liam when you consider his defensive performances and his incredible goal return.
  21. What is the obsession with youtube? Have you emailed the club about it?
  22. Will be surprised to see Wilson or McDaid at the club next season. And I have to say I think Amoo will be gone as well. He just hasn't done it this season.
  23. Next time you have a big life decision to make Lindau, maybe write in to Dear Deidre.
  24. Spence was on as a guest just as they all were.
