  1. new Wembley is a fantastic stadium. I've been twice at NFL games and you can take beer to your seat
  2. surprised that anyone that supported the Jags for 21 years chose Peterhead as his highlight Surely 2001, 2002 & 2013 championships must be better?? for me, the highs are already mentioned: I missed 71 lc final & 76 championship. so need to go for 92 promotion,01, 02 & 13 championships as well as Geordie Shaw at Parkhead, 3-0 v h*ns and the 3-1 thrashing of the tims at Hampden lows. there can be only 2, du in play off & ayr game in 97
  3. surprised at Weir, as he was apparently the 'most likely to' but maybe he'll recover with a Scottish club. Pressley for all his rubbish at times, has actually spoken a lot of sense over the past few years, and I think he seems a decent guy and maybe he will turn out to be a decent manager.
  4. Derek Rae made similar points in the Evening Times the other day
  5. I said before the game last night i hate playing them as we rarely seem to beat them, no matter how bad they are. Same with Hearts :-(
  6. It didn't look any busier, just about the same
  7. wtf is going on? Doolan slipped & fell in the 6 yard box just before Forbes's cross came in last night. ATS (iirc) & Welsh slipped within seconds of each other in the 2nd half and Balatoni's been slipping & falling all season. I know it was a bit wet last night, but are these slips being caused by bad choice of boots?
  8. Thanks Will, somehow i missed that
  9. I justsaw a bit on facebook, and it mentioned his videos of goals. Was he 'Carmallian' (or similar?)
  10. I second Blackpool jags post. No idea who he was, but very sad for his family. RIP young man
  11. That game is one of my earliest memories of Thistle & Firhill. My dad used to stand on the north terrace and i remember all us kids jumping over the wall to celebrate the last 3 goals
  12. thanks, Paul Cairney scored though I think? I was abroad and watched it on a live internet feed which went offline for most of the 2nd half
  13. was the Morton game live on Alba about 3 or 4 years ago on a Monday night?
  14. when I first saw The Jags around 68 or 69, he was my favourite player. A few years ago a guy I worked with turned out to be his nephew & I printed the cracking picture of John in the away strip at Firhill v Hearts, The pic is in B&W but it looks like a white top with a red & yellow hoop round the middle, it's been mentioned on the forum a few times over the years

would it not have been easy enough to check this? http://ptfc.co.uk/teams/senior/seasons/2013-2014/fixtures_results/2809_st_johnstone/match_report
  16. Why does Conrad keep slipping this season? Very strange
  17. and got free tickets, bloody cheapskates!!!!
  18. stand at the turnstiles, just inside or outside. I normally forget about the guy at the top of the hill (hard to believe I know)
  19. I wondered today about the possibilty of abuse of under 16 season tickets & match tickets. You can just ask for an under 16 ticket at the booth, no questions asked. Also, does anybody check who is using under 16 tickets to enter the ground with the automated system now in place?
  20. Gary Peebles scored against Rangers in 9 secs, but it was a friendly. That's the fastest i've seen i think
  21. it was really funny that day though!!!
  22. We had the same issue on saturday and decided to get an under 16's ticket at the booth I assume (a bit daft where Thistle are concerned) that eventually anyone will be able to enter at any gate for the above reason
  23. Correct, i couldn't believe he lasted the 90 minutes. True he was doubled up on evey time he got the ball (so were most of our players) but he just lost it constantly. I thought he should have been hooked instead of Craigan or Doolan
  24. I dont think it's twisted. At the time i thought the decision to release them was correct, but assumed that Archie had better replacements lined up. Baird huffs & puffs, but Craig was much better for the system we play. Piccolo may be a decent signing in the long term, but Dowie's experience helped us at the end of last season. An experienced central defender would be useful just now, is Andy Webter still available?
  25. Yesterday wasn't bad in the context of other results. Killie, St Mirren & hearts all losing was good for us, they are the ones we need results against
