  1. According to the Daily Record today a SPL manager was covered in milk last Saturday when a player kicked a table of milkshakes in anger at some comment .Anybody know who it was?
  2. Hope Velez Sarsfeld didn't win their league or Jackie will be after a bonus
  3. After losing 4 to Aberdeen and 3 to St Mirren logic would suggest we will get hammered but if we could play the way we did in the first game of the season who knows. Still, going hide under the covers until 5pm
  4. Wasn't at the game today so can't comment on the quality of play but don't think it was Archies finest moment to say there was no pressure compared to last season. Do we think we can just relax into games?
  5. Right that's enough -get to your bed.
  6. Right then, know any Chinese players we can sign and make a fortune selling jerseys in China?
  7. Think this is going to be another Hearts,.Hibs and Killie type of game. They'll be delighted if they can park the bus and grab a point. One thing is for certain -we need to get at them right from kick off and fight for every ball.
  8. McKenzie was the first player I ever saw who beat his man by just dropping his shoulder. Think he's still alive and lives on the island where he came from, Mull or Islay. As for big JD there was always a sense of anticipation whenever he took a free kick outside the box. If you got in the way of one of his shots you knew all about it, the balls were so heavy especially when wet and more so if you got hit where the lace was .Ouch!!
  9. If you listened to Sportsound yesterday you would understood exactly what they think of him .At the start of the discussion part of the programme they played a trailer saying "Your call with me, Jim Traynor" I was drinking coffee at the time and nearly choked. Then they came on laughing at their wee joke. They were fairly disparaging about his time at Sevco and his ability in general
  10. Giant screen showing the game which could also show adverts ,birthday greetings etc
  11. Wright is a total cretin. He has a huge chip on his shoulder and boy does it show. Can you believe some idiot gave him a "chat" show on channel 5 which didn't last long thank god. Parkinson summed him up as a great example of dumbing down tv. Why the hell does he still get the gig ?
  12. When you look at the money and squad available to Lennon they really should be winning games by 4 or 5 clear goals but I think we showed that we're not far away from competing in terms of talent and style of play. I think we're only going to get stronger and more experienced as the season goes on. One final point -how come Brown gets away with his tackle in the first 5 minutes yet Osbourne gets booked for his first foul of the game ?
  13. My own favourite Jags A "hard man" was big JD aka Jimmy Davidson. A strong commanding centre half who could play a bit
  14. I was there ,a 27 year old ,married and with a 2 year old boy who is now a season ticket holder. At least I got something right as a parent. I remember we went to a dinner dance that night where there were a few Selic supporters who accepted their defeat with good grace and wouldn't let me buy a drink all night. I was in some state when we got home. Well it would have been rude to refuse .Why do wives never disgrace themselves with drink? Apart from their European cup final wins the ugly sisters will never experience the same euphoria we did that day
  15. Jeezo, I'd forgotten how young I was when we shook the world. That's really depressed me
  16. Great to hear Thomson and Nevin acknowledging our style of play. To quote Nevin "Thistle are one of the best ,if not the best ,footballing teams in the league ". After seeing the other games tonight we've nothing to fear .Also don't get hype for Langfield to play for Scotland. His save against Goodwillie was what you would expect your goalie to save but nothing extraordinary. Fox has a better claim
  17. There were NO, repeat, No failures in the Scotland team. And the good news is that the way our young players are being taught to play will fit in nicely with Strachan's philosophy when it's their time to make the Scotland squad
  18. The article was obviously prompted by Riordan and given that he's not short of a bob or two (unless it's all gone up his nose)it would indicate a desire to play and I think it would be worth a punt with the proviso he is instructed to talk to the young players in particular about how to avoid the pitfalls that ruined his career.
  19. well if we can't get Nacho how about Ian Wright ,Craig Bellamy, Vinnie Jones or Robbie Savage .All lovely guys
  20. Couple of points -99 times out of 100 Craig would miss that chance. We need to have midfielders making runs into the box Finally tell Messi and Iniesta their loan period is up and get them back
  21. If you're using any of these site remember to install an ad blocker otherwise you'll spend all night trying to get rid of adverts
  22. Couple of observations Just as well Doolins goal came in first 6 mins-don't think he would have had the energy if it had been the last 6 mins.He worked his socks off And please when we have headers at goal could we try and head the ball down-all our headers seem to be at a nice height for the keeper.Well played guys
  23. And a win and a draw is better still
  24. Agreed Harry, all someone has to say is "Don't agree with you" .There is no need to be abusive.Let's keep abuse for opposition team and myopic refs
