  1. Fair play to Morton. Absolutely emasculating us out there. They are being strong and physical and our wee shitebags can't get to grips with it.
  2. Hopeless so far. No fluidity whatsoever! Defence is a shambles yet we persist with the same back 4.
  3. I'm wondering what the transfer strategy is. I know that Stewart's confirmation hasn't come in, but have Stewart and McBeth been signed to come straight into the side? It's not just the depth of the squad that has been the issue, but rather the starting XI. Would like to see guys coming in who can go straight into the team and improve us rather than just filling a place on the bench.
  4. He's a better goalkeeper, but he's not a title winner (hence we finished 4th last season). Mitchell is a bang average Championship keeper.
  5. Sneddon and Mitchell are both mediocre goalkeepers, and are certainly not title winning. However, unlike Gallagher and Hinchcliffe before him, Kenny Arthur inspires no confidence in developing young keepers. The very idea of Arthur instructing Cerny was quite frankly embarrassing. I was almost certain that Arthur was moving on, and thought that would have presented an opportunity to bring something fresh to the coaching department.
  6. Win is a win and now solidified that 3rd place spot (don't see us finishing any higher or lower). Hopefully add a couple more to the squad and bed them in for the play-offs. Also got the small matter of a Scottish Cup tie against a poor County team.
  7. Happy enough with that signing. Even if it doesn't work out, I'd still rather we looked at younger players from the Juniors rather than pish English League Two journeymen. Playing in the juniors, I'm hoping he's a bit of a *******. I really hope this is the beginning of a comprehensive and cohesive recruitment strategy as opposed to a hodgepodge of Archibald-like panic signings.
  8. Dowds at the double for Ayr. That's 4 in 6. Clear to see why Doolan doesn't fancy him...
  9. Wait until the 95th minute to bring Adeloye on? Sums up the tactical genius that is Kris Doolan. Thistle's cheap option looking more and more bang average.
  10. What a rotten team and PPV stream.
  11. That was f-ing terrible. What the hell is Doolan telling his players. Non-stop punt balls up the pitch to absolutely nobody. Our midfielders (apart from Lawless) are utter s-bags, who want to take no ownership of the ball. They just want to get rid of it as soon as possible. Absolutely turgid stuff. Get your head out of your arse Dools and actually give the players a strategy to follow. At the moment you look absolutely tactically inept.
  12. One of the main reasons Sneddon hasn't improved can be summed up by one simple question: what the hell does Kenny Arthur know about being a good goalkeeper? That's more jobs for the boys pish right there. Paul Gallacher was a great coach and even better player. Funnily enough, under his direction, Scott Fox played some of the best football of his entire career. I wouldn't class this season as a rebuild. A rebuild insinuates that a core or spine already exists, and it's a case of trying to add and figure out what works. This season's recruitment has been a hodgepodge of English League 2 and permanently injured pish! Very similar to Archibald's time. Take a punt on whatever rubbish an agent is trying to offload. There seems to be no coherent direction or strategy that underpins what we are building for long term. As a result we have an unbelievably unbalanced squad in terms of depth and style. Similar to Archibald, Doolan is still almost completely dependent on signings made by the previous manager (Graham, Lawless, McMillan, Milne). However, just like almost every manager other than Caldwell, he is still overly loyal to certain player(s) who are well and truly past their best
  13. A bag of absolute shite. Can't pass a ball to save ourselves. Useless!
  14. Doolan has assembled a pretty miserable team this season. The defence is an utter shambles.
  15. That's the problem though. It's being run by people whose egos are more important than doing what is best for the club. Being a fan isn't qualification enough to run the club.
  16. The absolute lot of you should hang your heads in shame. There are no clean hands here. Trust or Foundation, I wouldn't trust you to run a Bowling Club.
  17. Communication and transparency from the entire board has been utterly crap. No material difference from previous boards. Other than some Programme Notes, there has been little to no upfront communication about the current state of club finances, and what the next 12-18months is actually going to look like. Always been very sceptical about fan ownership (since most of our fans are utter zoomers...including me), and my worries certainly have not be alleviated.
  18. Doolan needs to get his deluded head out of his arse and realise that Neilson and Muirhead are not a Championship winning CB pairing. I know Williams has a lot going on personally. But, if he isn't in the frame, he needs to be moved out and someone else brought in because this is a bloody joke. Unfortunately, Doolan's signings have looked mediocre at best.
  19. Utterly hopeless from Thistle. Stanway and Bannigan need to man up and stamp some authority in the middle of the field. Overrun. Graham apart from the goal has been very poor as well.
  20. A lot of people said I was daft for identifying the goalkeeping position as being an area of concern. I think it's clear to see that we won't win anything with Sneddon and Mitchell. Sneddon was all at sea for that second goal. Completely unaware of where he should be positioned. A competent and commanding GK would assist at least a little with our frail back line.
  21. Would the post holder be expected to score penalties?
  22. Bannigan is Thistle's great "hanger-on." Definitely not the sole reason for our recent results, but certainly a contributing factor. Absolutely bang-average in almost every element of his game, yet is still a guaranteed starter every week. I think his injury at the tail end of last season demonstrates that we are a far more fluid team when he isn't in it. Same question of loyalty can be raised for Graham too. Great over the past couple of seasons, but has started poorly this year. We do have options on the bench, and Dools needs to be brave enough to shake it up if Graham isn't cutting it, rather than persisting with "automatic" starters. I always found it quite telling that Archibald stated one of his regrets as Thistle manager was the unjustified "loyalty" towards certain players.
  23. Simply dreadful. Gives me vibes of Gary Caldwell's team. Recruitment has looked piss poor, and tactically we are inept. Is it simply the case that last season Doolan knew how to get the best out of a squad that Ian McCall assembled?
  24. It is clear we need more solidity at CB. It would be mad if we aren't looking at Mulgrew
