  1. The Brownlie situation is an exact replica of the Emasculated Archie and Caldwell debacle surrounding Tam O'Ware. Tam looked like a (very) solid defender before his bad injury. However, the manager hedged all his bets on him returning the same player after his injury at the expense of bringing in another player. It has p-ssed me off that we seem to have made exactly the same mistake all over again.
  2. We are an absolute tinpot club when it comes to playing teams from the league above. Two completely avoidable goals. What the hell is McKinnon doing taking a touch in his own box. Stupid!
  3. The time for action has well and truly passed. Even some of the fans who chanted "sack the board" were boo'd by people in the JHS. The fans who wanted change, as well as TJF organised no direct action, displays, protests, or boycotts. This is the chickens coming home to roost. Face it, you lost.
  4. The management team's inability to teach our players to defend set-pieces is criminal. And Mitchell continuing to play in goals could cost us the league. McCall is a moron for not seeing that.
  5. Again for a set piece. Getting beyond a joke now.
  6. And for a great cause as well. Well done to all involved.
  7. He was indeed. Met him at an away match in Greenock. I hope wherever in the world he is, he's doing well. The streets don't forget.
  8. There isn't a day that goes by without thinking of him.
  9. Place just hasn't been the same since SigeSige00 was kicked off in 2012.
  10. Very disappointed not to see Sneddon get a cup match. For his own career, he needs to leave in January as he's far too good to be benched. Also annoyed with Bannigan. Every single game he has to walk the tightrope. Don't understand the official commentary getting all pissy about his booking. It was clumsy and a bit two-footed. Also lucky not to be sent off later in the match. Lawless was outstanding! Honestly think he could be a better player now than when he left.
  11. Does anyone know if the Aiken Suite is open for drinks before the match, and if so, if they take card payments?
  12. Need to get Sneddon back between the posts. I'd also rather take a half-fit Brownlie over any of our other CBs.
  13. Another question I have is Alan Rough's position at the club. To me, it seems very much an Honorary position, as I doubt he's investing any of his own money. Not to sound patronising, but he seems a bit like a Jacqui stooge who is rolled out on TV and radio to deliver her message.
  14. Nothing quite like it. Especially good for local artists. Would be good to get them added to the Firhill playlist.
  15. I used go work at Sunny Govan Radio way back in the day. They have a great repository of unsigned local bands and music. Might be worth reaching out
  16. Brilliant to see some media attention. Especially before Friday evening.
  17. What pal are you talking about.? Do you think we are all in cahoots on here, coordinating and planning our responses? I simply said that there was no need to create (or rename) threads constantly when the topic has already been covered. It's nice to have the discussion in the same place as opposed to all over the place. So stop taking this all so seriously. For the sake of everyone else on this forum I'm not going to engage with you anymore. Nothing personal. I'm sure you're a lovely bloke. But the back and forth is tiring enough for me, never mind anyone else.
  18. I'm trying to make a serious point as to the integrity and general behaviour of one or more of those on the PTFC Trust (you can see Twitter or FB for a copy of the sleazy comments - there is no need to repost here) So please, take the chip off your shoulder and step away from the computer for 5mins. This weird obsessive behaviour isn't healthy.
  19. PTFC Trust. Sleazy in more ways than one it would seem. Certain people/persons should not be anywhere near the running of the club.
  20. Friday night's game against ICT is on BBC and would be a good night for a public show of action against the board. Whether that's banners or non-stop chanting, I'm more than happy to get stuck in and make it happen despite being just 5 days away. We do a lot of talking on this forum. But I think actions speak a lot louder. I remember the younger guys organising something to reverse the decision to give away fans the North Stand. No reason we can't do the same now. So. Ideas...
  21. The arrogance and sheer complacency involved in believing that QP will never become Glasgow's third club is astounding. QP have a history and tradition that we could only ever dream of. They can make a strong case for inventing the modern game, despite not winning any major honours in a long time (...either have we)! They're now well bank-rolled, have a shiny new stadium on the way, dedicated training facilities (remember the absolute disgrace that was our failed attempt), and a competent and well-run board room. Over the next 10-15 years, they could make real inroads, whilst our cultureless club and fans still repeat the old trope: "aye, a know we might no be that good, but at least we're no the Old Furm."
  22. And how does that invalidate my point?
