It's all a load of tosh. I gave up going after the Lichtenstein injury time game. And I probably won't ever go back. It's mind numbingly dull and boring. I'll save my cash to follow The Jags.
Great post my friend! He also got us a crucial point up in Perth after coming on as a sub he scored with the last kick of the game in front of his adoring fans. That was a very important goal in my opinion. Helped to keep us up that first season back.
Remember the epic Scottish Cup Replay run in the 80's. After beating Clyde after 3 replays at Shawfield after the floodlights failed and burning a Clyde flag, I think we then played Killie in another 3 replayed games. I'll never forget MOJO scoring the winner and then some Killie idiot threatening my old Dad who was one of the mildest and kindest man you could ever meet. We were standing along the side of the ground in my distant memory. My old dad asked said Killie idiot to repeat what he said to his face. Killie boy then skulked away in defeat. Great night!!!
Think we're going to take a good support to this. Quite a few "every now and again" fans seem to be going to this all at the same time. And a Wolves fan who has been to a few home games is coming up for his first ever away game. Let's hope we put on a show!!
Fair enough! Your McCall comment is interesting . Don't think he got enough plaudits for what he did for us. Met him a few times since. He really does love The Jags. Glad to see him doing so well with Ayr.
I don't have anything against the chap at all, but I'm pretty certain that if he'd stayed, we wouldn't have come up. His away record was poor. Archie's first game v Morton away showed that the players were fully prepared to battle for him and that carried on through the rest of the games. The away game v Raith was a case in point. The fans were also incredible that match.
What a lot of tosh! I'm a near 50 year old who started standing in the Northy a few months after its inception. The atmosphere, although not up to the old terracing days, is a vast improvement on the JHS only times. Up The Jags!!! I think they should open it up to all age groups though.
At 5mins and 8 seconds just after Johnstone gets clattered and taken off, Arthur, observant as ever proclaims " That's Celtic down to 12 men!" Nice to see 44 years on, that nothing's changed there then!!
It really is an amateurish television show. I like the way they try to justify giving the hordes a bit of Sevco by including one other diddy game from the diddy league. It's just a load of drivel.
