  1. Well said, yoda. I have been very critical of those running our club. Tonight I raise a glass to them. Now, get the merchandise out quickly.
  2. This is brilliant. Great deal, terrific publicity and bonkers mascot. Think my kids will love Kingsley.
  3. Would be better if it was just the star/sun type thing without the white square. And bigger.
  4. If Scunthorpe think that we are desperate to sign Lyle, they might up the price. Archie is playing a game, showing them that we have other options. I hope...
  5. A selection of Margaret Thatcher’s private papers has been gifted to the nation by her estate in lieu of an inheritance tax bill in excess of £1 million. Beggars belief.
  6. From Celtic Twitter thingy: This season, Celtic will not take up the right to defer a home fixture in August
  7. That goal in Paris, brilliant. No thanks.
  8. Yes. I could take it out of their pocket money. Wait, though. Perhaps I should stop giving them pocket money in case they get used to getting something for nothing and won't work when they have to.
  9. For the many couples wishing to bring 5 of more children or single people bringing 3 or more kids the Motherwell and Hamilton packages certainly are disappointing. Where did you get your figures from? I would love to see them. It would be useful if the Board were less secretive and published season ticket numbers so that we were all better informed.
  10. Alternatively, if like me you don't get to that many games, while getting free tickets for the kids buy one for yourself and don't bother with a season ticket. Precisely the scenario I wanted to avoid this season. When we don't fill the stadium and don't have that many season ticket holders, it seems absurd that the club are prepared to see this happen.
  11. The difference is that one club policy assumes the ground will be full and the other that the ground will not be full i.e. the £25 fee is there to discourage not using a much needed seat yet an adult season ticket entitles you to effectively occupy two seats. Is it? Really? Not according to research done by La Scimmia Rossa which I have not seen refuted anywhere.
  12. In an email the club told me that the intention of the £25 charge was to prevent people getting season tickets for their kids and not using them and thus leaving prime seats unoccupied. Why, then, allow people to buy a season ticket for the JHS then use it to access the North Stand and leave a prime seat unoccupied? Completely muddled thinking by the club. I don't imagine any other Premiership club allows season ticket holders in one stand to sit in another area. I'm afraid that off-field Partick Thistle are a shambles.
  13. Then why are JHS season tickets valid for the North Stand too?
  14. Is there a North Stand season ticket or do you have to buy a JHS prime seat which is then left unoccupied?
  15. Don't mean to be rude, MonehJags, but that is just crass.
  16. Not quite sure what your angle is, perhaps you should state your point of view. The sad fact is, if I don't give the club £358, the only people likely to sit in those seats this season will be Celtic fans.
  17. Didn't phrase it very well, pt. 'Prime seats' in my post refers to seats that would-be season ticket holders are queueing round the block to secure. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think that's the case.
  18. Season ticket deadlines extended. http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2015-2016/june_2015/season_ticket_deadlines_extended Implication is that sales are slow. If they drop the ridiculous £25 fee for kids seats they can have £308 from me right now. If the kids are taking up prime seats that other folk would buy then fine but this is clearly not the case. Anybody at Firhill reading this?
  19. Had to be somewhere with my boys sharpish after the game. Left at 0-0 and heard the cheer for Higgy's goal as we headed for the bus stop. Couldn't believe the result when we got off the bus.
