  1. From Iain Maxwell's Twitter "3 million plus people have seen Kingsley today. @davidshrigley has played a blinder. Lots more to come as well this season. #goodtimes" Those kind of numbers for a club of our size is a massive success!!
  2. just stick "Mary Fae Maryhill" above it and they will be collectors items at Firhill!
  3. So my options are to pay for my two season tickets as I have done for the last 17 seasons and for the Old Firm games, sit behind a goal or behind a pole, while looking over at the Hordes of Mordor, sitting with the best seats in the house; my seats? I honestly cannot imagine any sight more wretched than the Jackie Husband Stand full with the Old Firm. It’s a case of the Club don’t care what sort of match day experience it is for me, as long as they can make as much money as possible out of it and even if I don’t go I will still be paying for it? One big reason for buying my season tickets was that I was always guaranteed my seats at every game, I knew those seats were mine, excellent view every time, I could turn up when I liked (within reason) and there they were. I don’t want to stand/sit in the North Stand or in the Main Stand. I cannot see any real value any more in me buying my season tickets, if when I really need them they are of no use. The carrot of “in excess of £250,000 per season”, extra revenue has yet to be explained in any sort of detail by the Club and I have not heard any argument from anyone, either from the Club or on the Forum, which makes me believe it will turn out to be anywhere near that figure. There has been no consultation from the Club with fans, a decision has been made and they are not “asking our Jackie Husband Stand season ticket holders to relocate”, we are being told you are moving. The Club have asked that, “on reflection, you will understand the reasons for doing this”, well I have reflected and decided to vote with all that is left to me and not renew my season tickets next season, because at some point there has to be some element of “what’s in it for me”?

  6. Mine came from my Uncle's license plate in the USA "OorWull". In addition my name happens to be William and the icing on the cake was my father wrote Oor Wullie & The Broons (among others) for DC Thomson for some 20 years. P.S. The Avatar I use is a tattoo of Oor Wullie sitting on his bucket, wearing a thistle scarf, which its tattooed over my heart!
  7. Could you please put me down for £20 too, thank you
  8. Noticed Panmure Street was closed to traffic on Saturday, does anyone know if it's back opened, or still closed off?
  9. Thought they had given us a goal of a start as compensation?
  10. This! On the iPad - "The requested URL was not found on this server."
  11. I use VPN One Click on the iPad, costs $6.99 for a yearly subscription and gives 48 world-wide proxies and you can use it on multiple iPads and iPhones. I use it on 4 iPads and 3 iPhones within the family and not had any problems in last 15 months of use.
  12. I couple of points that made me have a wee think were when it mentioned Paul Paton as a “great captain” and another as he “captained Partick Thistle to winning the old 1st Division” As I remember it last season and feel free to correct me, Archie was Captain up until the Morton game on 16th February 2013 and then Paton was Captain after that, up until the Cowdenbeath game on 27th March 2013 when he was injured and that was the last action of the Season for him, missing the last 8 league games and the Cup Final. He then could have been Captain for 8 games maximum, but he didn’t play in the Dunfermline 4-0 game, or the following Dumbarton and Hamilton Accies games, so he was Captain for 5 games in the whole season?? If that’s true then it could hardly be said that he was either a great captain or captained us to winning the 1st Division.

    Tag

I'm sorry, but I do not buy this argument at all, if the Club want to be taken seriously and move forward with Tag and some time in the future be turning over £300,000 P.A., then we need to stop this "we're not a normal business, we're a football club with supporters not clients" stuff. It is exactly this type of thinking which has allowed Tag to be a year behind already. The sooner we all realise that a supporter is a client the better.

    Tag

Why would they want to get involved? It seems like the stock answer which eventually gets put forward to any questions asked about Tag, the old "can you do any better"? Is Tag not a serious business run by Partick Thistle FC, which should be open to the same close scrutiny as any other business? The questions asked have been well thought out and presented and certainly should be answered by Tag, if they want to be treated as a genuine money making business arm of Partick Thistle Football Club.
  15. Is it just me, or do anyone else think that we now seem to have a decent starting eleven, but very few other players that you feel can come on and make a decent impact apart from Doolan? I realise that Fox could come in for Gallacher and we have a bit of compeition at right back, but who else is really pushing hard for a position from the bench?
  16. I waited all my Jags life for the type of football we played last season, mixed in with the great comebacks, heartbreaks, fog-machines, manager changes and winning the title celebrations and now I don't get to sit down and stick on a DVD with it all on it and enjoy it time and time again - I can't tell you how much of a sickener that is still!

    Tag

If the Tag Scheme is going to be so good, then give me an opt out option when I buy my season tickets, if it's as good as advertised I will have to take it, otherwise let me opt out and keep my £60 - that way everyone can take as little or as much as they wish?

    Tag

I have watched with interest as this topic has grown and have read over the details of the meeting and thought I would just add my wee bit. I have bought three season tickets for the last 15 year, along with every strip, scarf, t-shirt, et al and been a Jags Fan for the best part of 40 years. I couldn't help but notice how once again myself and all the folk in my demographic were unrepresented at this Tag meeting, as I sit in the JH Stand and don't use a Supporters Bus, as I drive to all the home/away games. I can certainly afford £5 per month, but will most certainly not be paying it, or will any of my family and friends. I realise that it is built into the price of my season tickets, but given a choice I will opt out for sure. At almost every given chance the Club leaves Fans like myself at the edges of what is happening in the Club and more and more disenfranchised. Finally, I found the comment from Ian_Mac "If someone isn't willing to pay £5 a month, in all honesty how can the club connect with them? What use are they to the club?" disgusting and an absolute insult to Fans like myself, who just don't want to pay for this Tag Scheme.
  19. SKY is my ISP and like several others can only get the website when using my VPN, but can get it without the VPN and using the direct ip address of the ptfc.co.uk website of 87.106.178.2, so maybe a DNS issue?
  20. No sign of my voucher yet hopefully tomorrow, does the voucher have your season ticket seat number, or is it a free for all as far as seating is concerned? Hope they have the Rows re-painted, so that there is a little less chaos on Friday night with folk trying to get their season ticket seats sorted out!
  21. Don't think the problem is just that they added extra letters (I,O & Q), I sit in Row H and would not have been effected by these changes alone and my Row H was lettered as Row G. They also may have get mixed up by the front row of seats in the Jackie Husband Stand being taken out and the second Row not used and covered in netting?
  22. Didn't realise that you had to be 18 years old to apply and sent the details off to my 16 year old Nephew, who dutifully got dressed up for an interview and walked from Bishopbriggs to Firhill, to find out he is a year and a bit too young. Feel like the worst Uncle Ever!!
  23. Does anyone know what time the Aitken Suite is open from tonight, as I have one final black bag of cans to drop off? I am not attending the Player of the Year Dance, but will drive into Glasgow and drop off the cans if possible, just need to know what time Firhill is open from?
  24. The full post from twitter is "Great day yesterday and perfect way to bow out by lifting the trophy absolutely gutted that I won't be joining the boys in the spl next season but had some wonderful memories and really enjoyed my time being a jag massive thanks to the boys and the fans #proudtohavebeenajag"
