  1. I've missed why they can't play at K Park. Surely, seen as this scenario was always a potential occurrence, the SFA should be determining where clubs play all of their games as they seem to see themselves as the voice who must be obeyed... "You might draw Celtic at some point so you need to play all of your home ties at Hampden."

  3. Hi everyone. I'm in the very fortunate position to be involved in a wonderful music project for children and young adults with additional support needs. The project is run out of Hazelwood School in the south side of Glasgow, and all began when the music teacher at the school decided to form a band based on the rhythmical talent shown by one of the pupils. A few pupils who were keen singers were also recruited and The Fridays were born! 5 years on, the project has sprouted arms and legs and has created opportunities for former pupils to volunteer back in the school, as well as work with pupils from both ASN and mainstream schools. A new arts hub is being planned as part of the existing school building to help create employment opportunities and learning experiences for young people who are so often overlooked by society. In short, The Fridays will be playing in the Aitken Suite this Saturday pre match from around 12:45 to 2:15. The band, project and school would benefit hugely from your support, even if that is simply your presence, encouragement and visible enjoyment of the music. Fantastic things are happening thanks to MusicAll and Hazelwood and people need to know about it. When you see the needs of these young people, and how able they are to overcome them in order to entertain people, you will hopefully feel inspired and lighter about life. There are a few videos of the band on YouTube which you can find by searching for The Fridays Hazelwood, and you can find out a little bit more about MusicAll here: http://musicallhazelwood.org.uk Thanks everyone.
  4. If we score first then we'll win comfortably. They play 3 (or 5) at the back and will succeed when they score first, make it stodgy and play on the counter.
  5. If the next one is either Lawless or Osman then I'll do a wee dance. Lawless keeps liking my tweets about how amazing he is. He loves us back. I'm confident he'll sign up.
  6. Leapt like a salmon for a header against QoS for his first goal. Remember his debut. Horrible day out in Inverness.
  7. "Dundee are the first side to return 4 first half goals against Thistle since Clyde led Dick Campbell's Jags by 4 goals to nil in a First Division encounter at Firhill in March, 2007." Thanks for that reminder.

    Erskine

I know! Especially against his home town team.

    Erskine

He's just had surgery. I agree with Woodstock Jag.

    Erskine

Separate thread required folks. Quite simply the most magical Thistle player in my lifetime. For me, he's up there with Chic, Britton, Hardie and Danny Lennon as an absolute hero. Even Da admits he's like Denis McQuade - an enigmna who is simply made for Thistle. I'm not surprised he's coming home but a three year deal is just amazing. He'll win a Scotland cap with us. Favourite Erskine moment? *that* lob against Falkirk? The 5th goal against Livingston? The goal that won the league at Falkirk? The goals against Berwick which showed us he might just be that wee bit special? The list goes on. Welcome home The Bridge.
  11. Jimmy Gibson and Paddy Keogh. Is it against Deveronvale? Jimmy is scoring the winner?
  12. Archie has done this before to make room for another player. Fingers crossed!
  13. Airdrie goalie looks excellent.
  14. There were no police at the game last night. Until our promotion, Firhill was largely a police free stadium for a couple of season.
  15. Caught him bletherin on the radio in the car and very much sounded like both he and Archie expected him to be back at Firhill.
  16. David Rowson and James Grady. 3-0 Scottish Cup win at Cappielow? Steven Pinkowski came on after about 10 minutes.
  17. Mandron was outstanding on loan to my Tranmere team in 2015 Champ. 20 odd goals and assists galore. Sigh him up!
  18. He and Lawless were magnificent yesterday.
  19. That's a good point. From my perspective as someone brand new to the sport, it was great being told why someone was getting sin binned! We should employ someone to explain Wullie Collum's decisions for every match!
  20. Archie suggested we'd sign someone either today or tomorrow but not in time to feature this weekend.
