  1. Our average attendance is down hugely this season compared to last: http://www.worldfoot...ue-2013-2014/1/. Notable that even the Highland clubs have overtaken us this season in ave. attendance. Considering that Hearts and Hibs were 2nd and 4th in attendances last year, it's not unreasonable to think we've partially missed the away crowds those teams can bring, along with probably drumming up a bit more interest from our own fairweather fans. Having Hearts and Sevco in the league next season would help our thinning finances, like it or not. Anyone who wants an "Old Firm-free" season ticket should consider if it would really be worthwhile, especially when our club is in dire need of all possible money from home gates. Seems a bit like cutting off the nose to spite the face.
  2. Motherwell might well lose, but I can't believe anyone actually thinks they would 'lie down' in a relegation play-off.
  3. ...who probably earns about 15 grand a week. We've absolutely no chance of loaning guys like him.
  4. Haha, not getting much support here. It's nothing against QotS, by the way - there are just very few things in football as satisfying as seeing either of the OF getting pumped by the Jags. Our largest home attendances at Firhill are by a distance when we play the OF so it can't just be me.
  5. As much as I despise them, I can't be alone in preferring the thought of 3/4 games against Sevco than 3/4 games against QotS next season.
  6. We've already matched our total points from last season, 38, with an improved GD by +22 and still 15 points to play for. So we've already made progress.
  7. I'd bite your hand off if you offered 8th right now. Careful what you wish for.
  8. I agree with other posters that the RC game is no more or less vital than any of the other remaining fixtures - although it looks the toughest. It's also too easy to presume Hamilton or Saints will keep losing. It would be gambling with cash we clearly don't have in the hope that bringing a marginally larger crowd than we would be bringing anyway will affect the result. For what is essentially a standard league fixture, I'd rather the club kept the money to be honest.
  9. I agree - it doesn't add up. To make it 19H/19A for all teams in bottom 6, both us and St Mirren are due 2H and 3A and the other 4 teams are due 3H, 2A. That gives a total of 16 home teams and 14 away teams for the remaining 15 games (after Celtic-Killie). It's not going to be fair on one team's season ticket holders as someone's going to get bumped.
  10. Don't be too hard on yourself - nobody could have predicted Ross County's unbelievable form. 25 points from 27 is not what you expect from a team 6 points adrift at the bottom...
  11. What if it's the last minute of a World Cup quarter-final and someone cheats to stop a certain goal that would knock out their country? I don't think anyone would argue that Suarez should've stayed on the pitch for his handball against Ghana, but really what's the difference? Craigen ultimately made a mistake, and we paid for it. It happens - that's football. For argument's sake -and I wouldn't want to see this happen - awarding a 'penalty goal' for denying a goal-scoring chance would make logical sense. The ref wouldn't have to send anyone off either as the goal hasn't been denied any more. It would make football less fun (like rugby) but it would be fairer.
  12. Hamilton need to beat Dundee Utd away to have any chance of avoiding bottom 6... given that their last win was on the 4th of January (!), it's hard to see that happening.
  13. Whatever the result on Saturday, we'll be neither safe or doomed - and the same goes for Motherwell, RC and Killie. There's still a long way to go.
  14. Comes and goes but here's a better quality stream: http://neolive.net/17605/1/Watch-Celtic-vs-Partick-Thistle-/
  15. As long as we get a comfortable win tomorrow, we'll be fine.
  16. Goes without saying, but St mirren are beyond rank. How have we struggled against this mob?
  17. Given how unpredictable we've been all season, a Jags win at 6/1 seems worth a wee flutter. Who knows?
  18. Forget 'Firhill' - there's no place for it anywhere.
  19. But of course, we'd have to do even worse to finish on 31 points... and if we don't get another point (not sure why this idea is being floated?!) we'd deserve relegation. Far more likely that we'll pick up a couple more wins and a few more points and finish 9th.
  20. All they're talking about on Clyde 1 is Rangers. Tedious beyond belief.
  21. One win a month = 10 wins over the season. We won 8 games last season. Nobody's saying it would be incredible to win 10 games over a season - but it would definitely be progress. What's unacceptable about it?
