If we end up on 31 points, it will mean Motherwell will have beaten us twice, which puts them on 28 points already! They'd have to do pretty badly in the other 7 games not to pass 31. I think we need 2 more wins to have a chance of safety, 3 to be sure. Teams always pick up points when they're fighting for their lives. Much depends on Killie - they must feel safe now but will they push for top 6 or just roll over for the more motivated teams?

I just bothered to check. Cup final is Sat 30 May. Playoff finals are either side of this, Thur & Sun. That's unless Hibs have an interest in both, which seems very possible. Utter shambles.

We were done and dusted by mid-May last year (not being involved in the cup). We had a post-split midweek trip to Tynie. This year it just seems to go on forever. Let's hope we're not in the playoffs, eh? We want some time off in the summer. I still blame Celtic's wee holiday break for this. How on earth do they get away with it?

I was under the impression we didn't do that here in Scotland - apart from Celtic that is. But on inspecting the list of remaining fixtures, I note that we do indeed have such a break, quite a late one, between 11th and 25th April. And as a consequence we will be enjoying summer football too, our season ending about a week short of June. Can anyone explain why this is? Is it because Celtic have already had a winter break, and the resulting fixture pile-up has caused this shambles?

I remembered the ball to McGlashan being straight, and it being the winner. Still it was a long time ago, and many brain cells have been flushed away since then!

I was there! McGlashan scored the winner, got to an aerial through ball before their giant Dutch goalie (name?) and flicked it into the empty net. We were great that day, 0-2 at half-time was a travesty. I've never seen us lose there (2 wins, 2 draws).

So - that's two basket cases below us in the league? Relax - sorted!

Villa in the EPL are experiencing the same thing. Dropping like a stone while the others around them scrap for their lives. At least we have Motherwell to keep us company. Heaven help us if they find any kind of form.

Fraser tried, and failed, to 'take one for the team'. It was worth a try, as the ball was in our net a few seconds later. So I don't hold that against him at all.
