  1. The phrase, "the term legend gets thrown about a lot these days" has never been more applicable. Sandy Hodge a legend? That description is very generous at best never mind wholly inaccurate. Also Will Snowdon - too good for us? That in itself almost warrants the admin to get involved here and close this thread down
  2. In 2004, the rules were changed to allow ICT to be promoted and to relegate us, the cuddly toy. While we had to ensure a 10000 seater stadium had to be in place with the safety certificates all signed somewhere around March prior to us winning the Scottish Division One title as it was, ICT were allowed to ground share with 'neighbours' Aberdeen (which was a clear conflict of interest) until they could build a 6000 seater stadium. It was absolutely astonishing how we accepted it. Financially we spent a fortune to get Firhill up to scratch which effectively put as at a disadvantage on the park. Not a court in the land would have upheld the leagues decision. Theres no danger if we had taken it to court we would have lost it. We didnt want to be seen to upset the apple cart and merely surrendered to our fate. It was absolutely outrageous. If we surrender again to this, effectively the same as we did back then by getting into bed with the devil, then ye can shove yer team up yer arse. To support Thistle would be to support that corruption. Not for me. Our families 20 year continuous season tickets sale will be no more.
  3. How exactly were the working group (TWG) in any way involved in this? Is anyone in TWG directors in the three black cats? The appointment of Low as chairman is nothing to do with them. It is though of high importance that TWG respond to this urgently and update the support of the timescale to quell the disharmony. I can understand the disappointment of her involvement again, surely she must have known how unpopular this announcement would have been at a time when, we the struggling supporters are looking for any crumb of positivity at the moment. Storm Low has blown the crumbs right off the table
  4. Lets not forget the 'Miracle of Central Park' yon midweek back in 2013 that gave us a 2nd chance to go on and win the league........... Based over 30 months, I don't know how the SFA are to blame. I think your clutching at straws now. In fact laying it the blame on the steps of Hampden is usually the default stance the old firm take when their team get beat.
  5. Never mind, it might be shite the now, but remember next year, in keeping with tradition, is the year we win a major trophy.........................
  6. We almost stole an equiliser at the death and really Austin should do better with both opportunities. First time I've seen him and going by the lack of quality or even thought he's another who isn't going to help the cause
  7. Not only did he fail to sort it, he gave them extended deals
  8. We're going down. Unbelievably we have got worse. I could pick 11 pals that would give us problems and look organised. We don't have any real idea what we're doing. For professional footballers it's nothing short of embarrassing. Our defence is shambolic and their goal typical of where were at. We had 7 players in our own 6 yard box to their 4 and yet not one player within touching distance of the goalscorer. Sad times and with some of these boys on 2 year deals, I worry about the future of this football club
  9. We shouldnt have been in the position of losing the penalty. There were 3 Thistle players in vicinity of the ball pretty much unchallenged prior to the ball being played to Forrest. The CB had a clear view and run and was better placed to deal with it, for some reason Bannigan makes an unbelievable decision to deal with it and they make an erse of it. Forget blaming Fox this time, the communication between our players cost us. Bannigan is a liability
  10. Oh aye, real tough talk that. I wonder McCall will be even able to sleep the night
  11. The highlight from the QOTS v Alloa game doesn't fill me with much confidence of Brownlie. Thats up there with the Christie Elliot 'assists' last season. O'ware has not shown enough for me either to be rewarded an extension. The Arbroath game has certainly taken its toll on my hopes for this team.
  12. That wis worse than junior stuff. The wind, a waen would learn quicker than to keep kicking the ball high. As a so called 'football' team we couldn't make a simple pass. There was no idea at all other than kick the ball high out the ground. It was shambolic and an embarrassment, certainly the worst I've seen since the 4 nil humping by the gypsies. McCall, Archie, Scally, all standing there watching as we kicked balls onto the roof time and again. We could have picked 11 from the terraces that could have done better and that's no even joking. If that was Caldwell in charge the forum would be in meltdown
  13. Hopefully McCall can get more from zanatta as he has ability. Much like Erskine in the sense he could be absolutely unplayable one game then mince the next
  14. Has there been any official news of us signing docherty and brownlie on pre-contracts?
  15. Admittedly only seeing the highlights, Penrice, although doing well to get back, makes a poor decision with his 'intervention'. The second goal is typical of us where we stand back and don't close down the shot. We have conceded a fair few goals from deflections, there's nothing the keeper can do when the ball changes direction 5 yards after the ball has been struck. If your going to allow the shot don't stick out a half hearted leg at it. Again its poor decision making and totally avoidable goals. You start to wonder how many goals we have to lose before we learn from it. I'm sure there are positives to be taken from the game and im looking forward to seeing us do the business next weekend up in Arbroath.
  16. Id rather Tony Christie. The amount of money from that game last night we should be able to add another couple of decent quality players.
  17. Agree totally. Sit in and we will get beat without giving ourselves a chance. As Dennis McQuade says in the Times, go for it and you never know
  18. We would need to put rainbow colours on it though in keeping with our open closet stance
  19. However, what if a true Thistle fan changes his mind and decides he wants to go now. Its Wednesday, there are hundreds of available seats but the club says they cant sell anymore tickets. Is that what your suggesting?
  20. How could this be prevented? If our fans are not buying the tickets and the 'away' section is sold out, do we just stop selling all the tickets for the home end?
  21. I was making a general point regarding the roles and responsibilities of a goalkeeper. I never made any reference to Fox. While he has his failings, I think he is as good as were going to get.
  22. It was easy to stop this as well. All the club had to do was ask real Thistle fans to display their TAG membership ID's when purchasing tickets......... The OP is over the top. You've made out their turning up at Firhill wearing full Celtic regalia buying tickets. How would you have prevented this? If there are Celtic fans in the home section on Saturday causing trouble then they should be ejected. If they are sitting quietly causing no bother, then that's fair game in my book. At least it will guarantee a full house.
  23. A good goalkeeper should be commanding his whole 18 yard box. If a cross ball comes within at least 8 yards from the goal it should definitely be the keepers ball. As for coaching, your never to old to learn. If he cant do what you ask of him, you find someone else who can, its as simple as that.
  24. Reading the last sentence he will still be a part of the coaching setup at Hamilton yet on the look out for a new team. Seems like a strange arrangement playing for one team and coaching another, albeit there youth team
