...Ok, today was awful. McCall came out in the press this week and was honest for a change. His job this season is to make sure Thistle are still in existence in May. Some are calling for his head, others for the board's. We simply cannot afford to pay the guy off - that's out. It'd be financial suicide to even contemplate that. So, the board. Say the fans do persuade them to walk. What, in all seriousness, happens next? Do we wait on a big investor? Is it plausible for us all to pay a certain amount extra and elect our "own" board?

Interesting point. I think McCall is going to change the team to suit the game. Saturday could well be a sit-in job and we'd need pace to attack on the break. This could well mean another call up for Maxi. Liam would need to stay in the team, maybe playing with Grehan who has shown that he CAN hold the ball up. I'd be tempted to play Erskine too given his desire to run at players. He has a little more pace than most in our team too. I could be completely wrong though!

It was clear at the time that Halliwell was badly at fault for the first two. Got his angles completely wrong for the first goal. The second was a terrible throwout to Boyle. You can't see it in the highlights, but Buchanan made a brilliant run out to the left wing as soon as Geri got his hands on the ball. A quick, long throwout to Buchanan would almost certainly led to a chance, or at least dead ball possession up the park. He hesitated, then threw the ball behind Boyle. I was so angry and upset at the time on Saturday, but as a Jags fan sometimes you just need to man up and get on with it. That's why we're better then any of the scum's supporters. MON THE JAGS!

...and surely one of our best season openers (although it was a cup game) was our 7-0 defeat of Berwick Rangers (sure it was them) and look how well that season went under Murder McLeod! With Thistle, you can never guess what's going to happen next. That's why we love them!
