  1. As i said in another thread i am teetotal and i have never understood why some insist that you need alcohol to be sociable, some of these people drink so much they haven't a clue what they did for a good bit of the night. Each to their own. I will raise a virtual pint glass to everybody on this forum and let's hope we all have something to celebrate with our tipple of choice come the end of the season.
  2. I know that this will not be a popular comment, but i cannot understand why some people feel they need to drink alcohol before attending or during a sporting event. Yes i do realise some might say it will make our performances more bearable sometimes.
  3. H,H,A,H,A A,A,A,A,A A,A,A,A,A A,A,H,A,A H,A,A,H,H H,A,H,H,A Thanks @BowenBoys
  4. As we are teetotal the wife and myself would probably get drunk on a box of wine gums, they will cost about a fiver nowadays.
  5. I do think that in general the use of cash is being discouraged. But i do not understand how people are quite willing to walk about with a lot of personal and financial info on a phone in their pocket. Without even thinking about losing it or the phone being stolen, there is data breaches and the cons that are getting more and more elaborate.
  6. You should be ashamed of yourself, feeling sorry for a Morton player.
  7. That time again. Time flies. Thanks to @BowenBoys for doing this and good luck to everybody who enters particularly @partickthedog because if he does well it means the underdogs are doing well.
  8. I have said a number of times now. Don't have a smartphone, never used one. I buy my season ticket via a landline phone call and use the credit card type ticket. Next week i will buy my ticket at the ticket office behind JHS as i do with all games not covered by season ticket. I realise that i am in the minority.
  9. To come back from a goal down and win 4-1, great result. Well done to the management team, players and fans who travelled to the game.
  10. If this is true, is it worth risking the player, of course it depends what the problem is. Just Employment Law the match sponsor, where did i last see their name again.
  11. 11PM tomorrow night. Lower league clubs can get loans until end of September.
  12. IIRC you need 3 call ups to request a postponement. Also it would mean playing midweek and although i don't expect a big crowd on a Saturday a midweek game would be even less appealing for some. Also means we will be able to give some players game time. Of course you might not be serious about us requesting a postponement.
  13. Lewis Neilson called up to Scotland U21s and will miss this game. Congratulations to Lewis for this call up.
  14. Well done to the U18s. 97th Minute winner, i take it the new rule of playing more time in games is happening at every level of football.
  15. I believe it is something called google that the younger ones ask nowadays.
  16. At the game i thought this was a great goal. Brilliant ball by Lawless that takes 2 defenders out the game and Grahams run onto it beats the defender and a great control and finish by him.
  17. Not sure. It would be easy enough for the ref to pass the information on to the home team to announce how much is being added on. IIRC they do it when games are on the tv.
  18. Reading on P&B it looks like Arbroath always get a good result against Morton. We will need to play well to get anything next week. On the extra time now being added on to games now, should it not be announced at the game how much is being added on . I know they do it in the Premier, so why not in all games ?
  19. Refs have been told to add more time for things like subs, when goals are scored, time wasting, when the ball is out of play etc. Expect games to go on much longer for a while anyway, just like the world cup last year.
  20. Yes, i thought it was a bad pass from Neilson, but we turned it to our advantage by putting them under pressure at the throw.
  21. Thought we started slow and Queens Park had the early pressure. From about the 20th minute we started to put more pressure on them. Our first came from a cross into the box which some Thistle players missed, but McInroy knocked in. The second was the goal of the game imo a great ball into the box and Graham got in front of the defender, who didn't seem to realise where Graham was and Graham knocked it by the keeper. Really disappointing to concede right after scoring. The second half started with Queens park on the front foot and we scored the third against the run of play. Lawless got the ball after Queens Park had a throw near the corner flag, passed to McInroy who chipped the keeper. McInroy got motm and can't think of anybody below par but a special mention for Lawless, Muirhead, Neilson and Sneddon. A very good result.
