A number will go down as legends. The obvious being Doolan and Erskine. A few still doing well. Lawless doing very well at Livi and ATS also getting games there as well. O'Donnell has had a couple of very good seasons with Kilmarnock and also breaking into the Scotland team. Lyle Taylor doing very well with Charlton in the English Championship.

There will be a minute's applause to commemorate the sad passing of Colin Weir at the Morton game today. Thistle players will also wear black arm bands.

I know Doolan's last 2 seasons was very poor. But lets not forget that about half his league goals tally was scored in the Premier league and he managed to score that amount without being a guaranteed start every week. If he was to come back it would be as back up, but as others have already pointed out if he could get anywhere near like his form of a few years back, he would be better than most options currently at the club.In the He Wears No 9 DVD, McCall speaks very highly of what Doolan can do both on and of the park. I am sure if he or any other ex Jag signs again for Thistle, it will not be for sentimental reasons, but for the good of the team and that is the way it should be.

I am just going by what is said on the DVD. Players say how good a player and professional he is. McCall also says he was surprised and also thought it was a mistake for Thistle to let him go. He also talks about how professional he is both on and off the park and says he does a lot of good work with younger players. Erskine also says he himself could return to Firhill at some point. Think if one or both came back it would be in some coaching position as well as playing.

After watching the He Wears No 9 video, i would be very surprised if we don't sign Doolan. Also think Erskine will return.

Don't know if i would want't another Austin. Our current one has hardly got out the garage.

To be fair the players you mention didn't do much while at Firhill. Including Lucas Akins if i am correct about the Burton player. Akins was on loan to us from Hamilton. Talking of Burton a certain Ryan Edwards is doing well with them at the moment.
