No doubt we need new players who can score goals. I would never downplay what Doolan did for Thistle but last year by his very high standards he only scored 6 league goals, 3 in the second half of the season. Spittal scored 8 goals and only 2 were in the second half. We need somebody like Macdonald who scored 7 in 13 games.

From January this year, we had good performances and results. So yes cause for optimism. Lets hope we haven't lost that come September/October.

Jaf, I am not suggesting that they would shaft us. I along with yourself and every other Thistle fan wait and wonder what the outcome will be.

As fans, most of us will have spent more time and money on supporting Thistle than we would care to admit. But when things like takeovers happen to our club, we have no say in it and we will also be amongst the last to know when it happens. So lets just hope if it does go ahead, it is for the better of our club.

VAR starts this coming season in the English Premiership. But when it comes to keepers moving of their line it is up to the ref to spot it. They will not be using VAR for that decision.

Once again there will be inconsistent decisions . Where there is VAR at games everything will be given, where there is no VAR it will be down to the inconsistent referee's. For example, Doolan's goal against Morton.

Depends how good the players we got were. We got Dodds and Colin West from Chelsea, but we also got Derek Johnstone as player manager.

Exactly what I was thinking. There was talk of Morton being a feeder club for an English club last season. Hope we don't become one.

Hope we see plenty of fans wearing the new tops in the coming season. Young Robert always liked to get a new top when they were brought out. Not sure which one he would have got.

Transfer market in Scotland is really just about a few teams. If I remember right Liam hadn't long signed a new contract with us before he was transferred. So there was probably a release clause in it. -
