  1. Just wondering if Fox's poor form is also to do with how bad our central defense is as well,Archie and ballatoni hardly won a ball in the air all day.If Archie is to continue playing this season he needs someone with pace next to him. Balatoni looks as if he's running through treacle at times with the turning circle of the titanic. He would be a better player if he was a stone lighter.Worried about Archie's form also.Jackie Mac got the subs and formation change right and I thought Stewart and Erskine showed far more hunger and effort than they have been recently,Erskine had a stonewall penalty denied and Stewart played a major part in the goal. We finshed 4-3-3 with Stewart ,Elliot, Doolahn up front and Erskine in midfield in place of Flannigan and looked better for it. A win ground out so let's not knock it too much
  2. I feel somtimes that our football is just a reflection of our society and the way it's heading. Everything is the quick instant fix of gratification, instant fast food, instant fame, instant soloutions and the old firm especially want everything now. They're not prepared to wait on development of young local players they would rather have some slightly better than the rest average diddy mercanary and then wonder why they get pumped in Europen.I heard Mccoist after the game and he praised his playes for "rolling up the sleaves and getting stuck in"..........football talk from 40 years ago. The bottom line is to be a great old firm manager you only need to be better than the other ugly sister and that's why they (we) have the football we do.

Yes, his set up for the goal was excellent. What annoys me about Flannigan is that he looks as if he has a lot more to offer and yet comes up short too often. You could see the set-up the manager was going for on the wing with Sincliar and Flannigan on the left but he ends up having to switch wings because he was ineffectual.Don't quite know what the managers thinking is in playing such a left footed player so wide on the right.
  4. Did anyone else see our ex-manager buying a ticket and going in through on of the turnstiles?

Flannigan gave away possession out on the right in the move that lead up to their corner and I didn't blame him for the goal ,it was Fox's fault.Flannigan gave away the ball while in possession several times that lead to Hamilton chances and that doesn't make up for putting a "few challenges in that he doesn't normally do"

Fox needs to get his finger out.Quite a few times already this season his concentration has been lacking. He got bumped at the goal for certain but still should have dealt with it,it was an own goal and his handling and distribution was poor throughout.Cairney was my MOTM for his second half performance and how good was it to see a forward turning ,making a bee line for goal and banging it in like Christie did, looks a real find already. Flannigan was the weak link today giving possession away countless times and it was he who gave away possession for the corner from which they scored, should've beeen subbed. A much improved performance and no faulting the effort against probably the best team in the division.
  7. Sadly,I agree with all of this. Every season sees a further decline in the stature of Partick Thistle and only something radical,(not the POOPCO scenario) will save us from extinction.
  8. During the next match,if you get ,a sniff,a whisper,a glimpse of a chance to shoot at the opposition goal then FFS take it.Dont try to lay it off , don't think about it,don't ***** aboot just batter the ball as hard as you can on target towards the goal. This will drastically increase our chances of actually gettin the feckin ba' in the net and may in fact result in us winning a game.
  9. Not pretty veiwing anyway you look at it.Both soft penalties but Dundee's was such a blatent dive it's unbelivable the ref gave.Didn't realise it was a defo handball either at the match,he clearly keeps it out the net with his paw. Our big problem IS th performance and not piss poor refs. Our final ball is shocking and our strikers last option seems to be a shot at goal when it should be the first
  10. There is no arguing with that,it's a completly valid point but from what i've seen this season,at the moment we are going to struggle every game to score goals.Losing another 500 this season because of a total lack of entertainment value is not going to help us pay a tax bill. The spell under McColl when we went without scoring or winning was as bad or not worse than under Campbell ,more of that and our support will crumble forever, the fans need to turn up knowing there is at least the slim chance of a shot on target. We have a pretty good squad but we MUST get a striker.
  11. The type of player I dislike most of all.Blessed with talent but instead of working on it and improving what he's got he pishes it up against the wall.
  12. I thought we gave a good performance today, couldn't fault most of the team for effort. The ref had a shocking second half with some incredibly bad awards to Dundee and was completley conned at for the penalty but it's all about stickin it in the pokey and we might still be playing just now and we would'nt have scored.Got a feeling Tommy Stewart might be the next Stephan McConolouge. The ref had a large baring on the final outcome but we should have buried it long, long before the penalty. Cant stand Dundee as a club or a team, how their nos 6 staded on the park was unbelivable.Perhaps the way to get more off refs is to start singing more H*n songs.
  13. A guy with £161 million??? they should offer him a couple of games in the first team too!
  14. One of the best ever stripey tops, more of hoops man myself but that top is a cracker.
  15. Is Andy Anderson in already? A real stalwart from the 70s and part of one of Thistle's best ever central defensive partnerships with Jackie Campbell.I don't ever remember him playing with any other team.
  16. "Mafia are dragging kids into the crime, in order to blackmail and profit on them. It is not possible to separate these people from pedophiles, and you don't need to do that. Each year we are forced to fight against these maniacs harder and harder. We are standing in their way not letting them manipulate the game of football in the way they want. As such they undermine us in every possible way they can. "The task of the club is to tear these kids out of hands of criminals." ...............Jeez oh, he sounds like Neil Lennon on acid, that is mental stuff
  17. Alan Hansen to the mighty Liverpool side of the seventies?
  18. He would be a better player for us if he went up and doon the pitch a bit more rather than across it all the time.
  19. Everything here is spot on plus the fact that Kenny gave a toss about the club and the team when a lot of the players didn't.Without his ability to save penalties who knows were the club might be now.KING KENNY
  20. Quite a few St Mirren fans have said to me he would have been the perfect manager for us to take us up. Wouldn't be surprised if QoS are top four.
  21. WOW, all that and we still have the results of Ernie Walkers Think Tank to come. WE'VE BEEN SAVED!!!!!!!
  22. Just heard on BBC Scotland Chic Young saying how play off would make our end of season more exciting using the Perterhead/Thistle game as an example. The bold Murdo then says "we had play offs in this country before and nobody turned up". Were you at Tannadice "that night" Murdo you total *****.
