I have to agree with you on this one, lose at home to Dunfermline and Alloa then I think we need to cut him adrift, admit its not worked out and give someone else the Jan window.
Fair enough, was just keen to get Penrice and Banzo further forward but could still do that without 2 holding midfielders. Didn’t know red cards counted for next game suspension if dished out in the reserves so Penrice will be in defence I’d imagine.
Nervy game ahead and would take any form of scrappy deflected goal to hopefully kick start the season, break the losing run and get a much needed away league win.

My starting 11 , however not sure if Aidan is on Scotland duty so if so would look like Spittal. Really think Banzo further forward and getting into box and Penrice in midfield would be a positive approach.

Some cracking strips over the years.
I’m 47, one footed, slightly overweight and wear glasses to read but Spittal, Storey and Bell have gave me hope that one day my dream of playing for the Jags is a realistic one.
The Caldwell thread on the Chesterfield forum continues to develop. They are less than keen on him, hopefully they can be proved wrong. Interesting read none the less just to see supporters from a different country perceptions of Thistle.

Have to agree. Sneddon has looked the better keeper of the two on what I have seen this season. His kicking and distrubution is streets ahead of Bell who really does struggle to keep it in the park. Also long term and with youth on his side he could be a mainstay of the defence whereas I cannot see Bell being someone to build the defence on, so lets get Sneddon bedded in.
The defence is what it is at least until Jan and we are stuck with it, we will concede so therefore have to score more and imo have the players to do so its a matter of how we set up to do so. Sideways passing is not that way however.
