I'm just as worried about Keown who I expect we won't be able to keep after this loan. It will be the second year running that the defense will have to be rebuilt.

If we make top 6 I am certain we will take Hearts. Not so sure about Saints and I think their win last night has probably put them safe for 4th. Assuming they don't go into freefall then we would probably need 15 points out of 21 remaining to have any chance and that would be a tall order considering the teams we would have to face. That said, wins v Motherwell, Saints, Hearts and Rangers x2 is not totally inconceivable.

If I have done my sums right, only Killy can catch us now and to do that, they either need to win at Parkhead, or draw at Parkhead then overtake a 15 goal difference advantage in their game with Hearts. Almost there !

It would take some freak scores, but mathematically Motherwell are not yet out of it. Hamilton, Us and ICT, it is not impossible to see them getting 9 points, especially as our record against them is not the best. The 22 goal difference might be a bit much to overcome. Never the less .... I'll settle for a wee win tonight .... just to take the pressure off.

I can easily see Kilmarnock getting 9 points from their remaining fixtures. They have a much better record against the OF than we do (it could't be worse) and the other 2 games are very winnable. Our goal difference is worth something, so I think that 2 wins for us will probably do it, but I'd be surprised if we get away with less than that. Dundee are probably out of it if we get the win today. They don't have points on the board and their goal difference has taken a hammering.

And on the 1st of April ! Who would have believed it ?
