  1. And I thought Greene had stated that all football debts were paid, but along with Hearts Rapid Vienna are also waiting on £800K
  2. Nervous, buzzing, homesick, keep the tweets coming lads and lassies forus nomads. Jags top on me and the wee one. Just don't lose keep us top and in the fight, but a 4-0 would be great
  3. And does the biggest implosion of our time or in footballs history learn from its mistakes? No Still spending money it doesn't have with a £7,000,000 a year playing wage (As mentioned by Greene the other night), a reported £300,000 a year policing bill, Ibrox & Murray park costing around £1,500,000 a year to maintain plus the back room staff and administrative wages probably another million they'll be trading at a huge loss this year (rumoured to be near £2,000,000), their 1st year after liquidation and god help them if they don't go up or get hit with more sanctions. We and many other clubs have learnt the lessons of the past to some extent and have cut costs accordingly. No more 6 figure signings from St Mirren, no signings for cash at all, if we don't have it we don't spend it. A few are still trying to outplay the banks and the system but they will get caught out sooner or later
  4. And thats the key, cut your cloth accordingly, every household and well run company in the country does that. When in a recession look for savings in the good days invest for the future, not the spend spend spend of Rangers, Dundee, Dunfermiline and Livi in the past I don't believe St Mirren or Caley have any debt either
  5. Lets just wait to see what happens on that one the oldco isn't formally liquidated yet so no action on that matter can be taken, but once BDO finally shut it down Hector looks like he will come hunting them again* *(Aparently to keep myself, or my friend at portculless house right )
  6. Well they are better supported than the Norwegian leagues and the population is roughly the same
  7. Not laughing Peagreenboy I just don't believe scottish football is in as bad a situation as the media would make out, attendances have been about the same for over a decade now, we're in a country with a population of only 4 million with a majority of the football following percentage following their religion rather than their local or family linked club. Scottish football was going to be fine 18 months ago when Rangers and Celtic were talking about breaking away for the mid atlantic or english league so if Hearts have to re-establish itself in the 4th tier with Rangers I don't see how that will change us, if anything itt may shake the game up, we now have Hibs chasing Celtic for the League and more teams chasing an extra uefa cup spot now only 1 of the OF are there Football will survive clubs pulled temselves out of the dirge of the early to mid eighties when the crowds were really poor (less than 2000 at firhill and 4 figures regularly at Ibrox pre-souness) and will cut its cloth and come back again
  8. Good to see the Rangers fans on FB blaming their demise on the fact that Rangers are not in SPHell
  9. How is scottish football circling the drain?? We have started to make money (a little but money) most clubs have seen a upturn in crowds, with Hearts this has been coming for a wwhile whilst Vlad played with his plaything and toyed with the authorities, Kilmarnock have had the hotel debt hovering for years but is "apparently" manageable, The rest of the SPL seem to be trading ok and paying down debt if they have it. The SFL with the exception of Dunfermiline and their rumours who else is rumoured to be in trouble? Every team seems to have cut its cloth accordingly maybe a year or 2 later than they should. I just don't see how scottish football is going down the plug or is it the rangers effect, cause it doesnt seem to affect the income of the SPL teams, never effected usor SFL2 and SFL3 have a wee crowd bonus (till they get the bill for the policing)
  10. Is this not the 2nd time this threat has been hanging over them with the tax man? What does a winding up offer mean liquidiation or administration? Rumours flying about that dunfermiline are about to be pushed down the same route for the same offence and again a 6 figure sum
  11. Just seen a picture of the JHS and it looks more than that in there alone
  12. Found out about it a week or so ago had to keep quiet did you's manage to get tickets
  13. Who also headed up the Stadia company turning the Scottish grounds to all seaters and bought all the steel required from a certain Murray international metal, whilst also in charge of most of the football clubs overdraft and banking facilities. Conflict of interest, borders on inside dealing I'll scratch your back Davie you scratch mine
  14. Lets remember Rangers have the siege mentality just now and are trying to prove a point, they couldn't 1/3 fill their ground for a cup game last year against Dundee Utd, that will fade especially when they start to really struggle away from home in the winter months on hard parks with poor floodlighting etc. they have sold themselves on bigotry and undortunatly in the west coast of Scotland that works. I would rather have 3000 real football fans than 45000 bigots at firhill every week, just wonder whether they paid the VAT on the gate money?
  15. Wales were the better team , 1 possibly 2 penaltys before the one they got, no excuses were crap
  16. Latest scapegoat??? Every time we lose a game a player gets a topic like this strange it doesn't happen when we win
  17. Jesus we've lost 1 league game this season, bad day in the office it happens lets see how we bounce back before we unsheath the knives
  18. Remember all the buses we used to have Maryhill, North West, South Side, Milngavie, City Centre, Cumbernauld , and some of these buses regularly taking 2 coaches. Just shows how our support has changed At times when the team, games and weather could all be poor the Maryhill bus was always a riot and often better than the actual game
  19. Is there any names you do agree with, do you have your own original name or did you change that too, you ok with dogs being called dogs or should they be hairy quadpods or something equally bizarre,
  20. But you live in Glasgow now big man, save the postage and walk in the big door and up the big steps you'll be in football top frenzy at the selection they have and they won't ignore you over the counter
  21. Why the hatred for Dumbarton Sigey? Have you ever been their? Lively big rock you can climb up
  22. More scaremongering with Rangers about to get hammered again "Punish us and we'll join the Atlantic league!!"
  23. Better make sure the trap doors are fixed in the JHS by then
  24. Lets remember although its a jags pub it's also a business, they have already bought a couple of season tickets and programme sponsorship, by all means ask to use the bar as a channel or venue for fund raising but to match it seems a bit much
  25. Definatly the winner, over 70 years and still coming back for more
