  1. Twice in one season!!! 1st time we had a new team and they were bedding in, but was against a league team Today was unacceptable, from the manager and players, they have to learn from this fast and go out and hammer culter in the replay, a struggled 1-0 may be a result but wont boost the morale or confidence of the fans or team
  2. Berwick are a league team who got to that round to play us on merit Culter are a pub team who got to play us after getting beaten by another small non league team who messed up their paperwork. This is a worse result on the park, just lucky we have a second chance
  3. He better get the whole team in for a double training session tomorrow at 1st light, this has ruined mine and a lot of other fans weekends, should ruin the players and managements too. Not good enough
  4. is this only the 2nd game being scheduled for a friday and both involving us
  5. Totally agree, this carry on about having to put 10,000 8,000 6,500 deats in, undersoil heating pitch protection in and having it ready for the end of the promotion season , start of next season , half way through the 1st season is nonsense. 3000 seats and adequate standing areas is all this countrys teams need, whats the point in bankrupting clubs for a 1 or 2 year flight with the big boys to occupy 4,000 of your seats to then drop back down to utilise half of that with your perfectly good terracing now unable to be used as you have played with the big boys
  6. Have they undersoil heating, thought that was a requirement too...... it doesnt have to work though just ask motherwell
  7. If we had lost all our games so far, yes i'd agree with some of the calls for change but we've not, we have beaten top of the league by 5 goals at home, broke our hoodoo at dens, but we have also lost games we should have won. Look at who is in this league this year who have bigger budjets and expectations than us Dundee Livi Falkirk Morton Accies Thats 5 out of 10 that are expected to be challenging, add to that Ross Countys exceptional start (with a settled squad and manager) and we are probably where we should be, we are a mid table club these days after years of financial mismanagement and decline, anytthing above 5th is a huge bonus with the squad, its age and inexperience of the management team
  8. He's been in the job less than half a full season FFS, by all accounts we have at times played some great football, its inconsistency thats our downfall and thats what you get with a young squad which is all we can afford. He needs 18 months before this topic comes up. We are starting to sound like glory hunters from the other dark sides of the city
  9. My college lecturer at Stow College a mr Joe Kerr, also had a Mr Mann (1st name tony) there, at my 1st job at rolls, we had a Peter Ness, who's clock card red P.ness and a old guy called Hugh Bonner, who was called huge due to his surname
  10. Used to be a hoover specialist myself,, plan to re-enter the trade for the heaton park triple nighter
  11. Spot on post JJ, in this day and age where lets be honest for most families every penny counts, spending a decent amount of a weekly wage on 90 minutes of little excitement in poor surroundings in poor weather with not so great catering and not to mention police or stewards asking you to sit down/ shut up/ don't sing that song/ etc etc can we really wonder why folk spend there money else where, yes we are better value for money for families that any other club, but its still not value for money if its not enjoyable (especially for the kids), i've had some great days at firhill in the past even when weve been beat due to the atmosphere, the patter and the laughs we used to have.... we seem to have lost that, but so has football in general, whats the answer if i knew beatie and co would have been told already so we could turn it around, part of the reason we're on our arse is because scottish football is also on its arse...... grim days ahead as i can't see the corner being turned by us or any other club in the next few years. Saying that i canny wait to get back at xmas to see the games, moan about the ground, laugh at some of the comments and scald myself on a bovril, absence soes make the heart grow fonder, but i dont have to justify the outlay every 2nd week. Mon the Jaags
  12. We have a kids zone, lets have an adults zone, where you can swear, stand up, have a fly puff all whilst slighly pished, that zone will only sell pie's bovrils and quenchy cups, and a wee gadgie can be employed to sell macaroon bars and chewing gum round that zone, charge a quid extra to get in and everyones a winner
  13. The matchday experience at almost all grounds has gone as football like society has become so sterilized its pish, don't shout or swear or stand up or smoke etc etc... this is the same for most pubs too. We as a society are becoming robots we are fast losing our characters and who made us what we are
  14. We should build an 8,000 "bowl" instead of the standard 4 sided lego built, with retail units under it like they did with Viking over here (althought thiers is 16,000 capacity)
  15. I'm agreeing and giving justification to your answer, we will get more for the ground in 1 sell than bit by bit which will end up happening. We either keep where we are and fix what we have (which we can't afford and its way too big for us) or we sell up and move
  16. And who really wants to buy a narrow L¨shaped piece of land with minimul car parking and whos business would be disrupted every 2nd weekend
