  1. Reminds me of the days of trigger eating uncooked pot noodles, much to lambies annoyance
  2. Not a big motorhead fan, but having just watched it. It has to be the best rockumentary ever, fantastic film and the guy is a legend
  3. 2 weeks on and still no update from the trust on what actually happened at the AGM with the exception of the brief statement on the Jim Alexander situation. Now you hold the 1,000,000 shares for your members, so why not report back to your members in a prompt manner, you are quick enough to post when Dacvid Beattie has posted something to upset you in the programme. 2 weeks for an update, the UN can get a resolution for war in less time. Don't expect a renewal from this member.
  4. I don't know too much about the ins and out of the legalittys of this but lets say come april we are safe with 4 5 weeks to go (safe as in more than 25 pts away from bottom 2 teams), one of the board does a fantasy feasabilty study into say new pie stalls and charges the club £8 million, he is now our biggest creditor (80%) debt), call the administrators in and accepts 6p in the pound. The bank gets 60grand for a 1 million debt, the director wipes it off as bad debt and hey ho we have no debt!!! Is it that easy???
  5. None will be needed if HMRC wind the business up
  6. Don't think mwlville can afford to write much off as he's being chased for several millions from his old company cosalt, amongst others
  7. To an extent i agree with you, but the current BOD are still employing Hughes's company to do the books run the ballot etc and using him and cowan at hospitality on a saturday.... his shares were for free, his company apparently took (or are taking) a wage out of the club. He is no longer one of the custodians of the club so hand your shares back and disappear, your financial mismanagement has taken us to the brink if not beyond
  8. There is so much about this that just seems wrong. 1) Why only have a vote on 1 director and a seperate vote for the rest together. 2) Why the trust was being lobbied before by a major shareholder to influence the "secret" ballot 3) Why was the ballot being counted by an employee or by the company ran by the same major shareholder that was lobbying the trust. 4) Why was the same major shareholder alledgedly mentioning where the votes were going before thay had been counted and declred in a "secret" ballot. 5) Why make the AGM in the morning for a member of the board with NO shares who still doesnt turn up. Conspiracy...... seems like it
  9. This on top of Jim about to start an internal audit of our finances when.... oh he's removed from office by the finance man rallying his pals (and propco buddys) round to vote him off. I smell a rat. The trust if it has any fight left must ask for a full audit (independant, not from Hughes's company) and let us all see what is really going on, this smells like the Hi-his all over again, decemation of a football club for personal gain through a property deal
  10. What exactly is going on here, what is the plan for the club........ it doesnt seem football is high up on the agenda. They have got rid of a guy who has brought more good ideas to the club listened to more fans and been more visible around the club than any other director, and it seems may have put more money in than some of the other directors. Did he get close to unearthing their master plan for the asset stripping of firhill. This whole propco thing stinks adding to that the fact that hughes etc seem to still be calling the shots and we have serious problems. Things seem to be afoot at firhill and not in a good way. Jim thanks for all the efforts you put in, you won't be forgotten
  11. No way was liam on anything close to a grand a week
  12. German & Belgium flags are red yellow and black, our colours... no problem
  13. If the flags were red n yellow i'd have no problem at all as they are relevent, but there not so thay arent. If i want to get involved in political statements i'll go to a demo or a meeting, if i want to watch football i'll go to firhill
  14. If the customers don't like what is there, they won't come, even less money, no business!!! The 10team top league was dumped previously cause it never worked too tight youths couldnt be brought through and our teams struggled in europe as did the national team, and the fans were bored with playing the same teams over and over again, they are dropping the 12 team top league cause it doesnt work. Our division doesnt work because we are playing the same teams up to 7 times a season (8 if there is a replay) Magic idea we'll reintroduce a system that never worked years ago when crowds were higher for the top division, and give our new league the same monotomy with 2 extra teams to share it with. Alot of fans struggle to make 1 game a week or 2 a month cause of finance, we are now going to increase the financial strain on them with more games probably closer togetherk, and you can bet the prices will come up, and the kids go free will be dropped when the SPL start to set the minimum pricing for the all shiney new structure.
  15. Where is this feasibility study?? why isn't it published? Why did Dundee Utd Hearts and a few others say no the 1st time if it was so great. Players will ask for bigger wages as they did when the premier league became the SPL with the TV money, the players agents will know that there is more money coming from sponsership and will want there cut, for being "championship" players now.
  16. 44 league games a season!!! Lets do the maths here 52 weeks a year. summer break 10 weeks (end may - mid aug) Internatinol weekends 4 scottish cup 2 (3rd & 4th Round) 36 weeks to play 44 games, plus league cup say 2 games, scottish cup runs and replays. Plus this SPL cup they are talking about!! There could be 11 or 12 mid week games minimum for most teams before the bad weather takes hold and causes a fixture back log. This is pure fantasy by the powers that be, midweek attendances are always lower than saturdays. You may have the same amount of folk paying in over the season but that will be split over more games, with the cost to the club higher (opening the ground for more match days, more use of floodlights, more wages for players, bigger pools of players due to the greater amount of fixtures etc). 18% more games the players will be looking for 18% more money. It'll cost the fans at least 18% more money to see all the games cause the prices wont come down at best they will freeze per game but season tickets will come up. Travelling support will come down due to cost of travelling, less revenue. Hopeless situation if this comes through
  17. Had the same with my car a few year ago at the one next to the maryhill shopping center, took the pads off then told me they couldnt fit new ones as the disc was indersize, he used a micrometer on my discs like a g-clamp, trying to tell me this was precision inspection equipment, let him rabble for a bit before telling him i was an aerospace inspector and showing him and his boss how properly to use it, before asking to get the regional manager on the phone, free brakes and an apology, but still never went back there.
  18. Spot on do they tell the shops in town to close or the bars and clubs cause its been snowing???
  19. I thought a voucher was basically a credit note and had to be honoured
  20. I do as does the whole population of Norway, our "tax list " is aavailable on the net and tells what you earned what you owe and how much you have in cash and assets, not saying its right but they have the transparency for every one from the wee woman that cleans the factory at the bottom to the king at the top.
  21. Totally agree sigey, watching football on a warm sunny july saturday or sunday afternoon is so much better than on a cold january tuesday night in say falkirk, and over here you seem to see more kids coming to the games in the warmer weather, the attendances have went up in ireland since the introduction of summer season, i think it would be a good thing for scotland, oh and we also have a 2 week summer break so players, fans etc can go on there holidays
  22. Plus the crazy idea of allowing 4 "colt" teams to play in the league just makes it a greater farce. 4 teams that cant go up or down in a league of 10
  23. If i remember right part of that money goes to the SFL to allow SPL clubs to play in Europe as the SFA's league is the SFL, and there was talk a while ago that if there was no safegaurd (moneys) for the rest of scottish football the winner of SFL1 would get the Champions League spot and not the old firm
  24. Remember when the SPL started we were told there would be so much more money for the clubs involved, never came well except for 90% going to the OF and the other 10% going to the rest, look at how many clubs in the SPL or who have went into it are close to being bust (if they werent a football club but a regular business they would be) Us Kilmarnock dunfermline dundee livingstone Rangers Motherwell Hearts and there is probably more, as soon as they mention more money in the league players want bigger wages etc etc and clubs spend more as the loss from relegation is incredible, even though they are losing money hand over fist year in year out trying to stay in the land of milk and honey. Lets see how much money really comes out of it, cause who will pay for the TV rights for SPL2 when they struggled to get a deal for SPL1 and the only games that really generate any interest are the old firm clashes now, and that has hee-haw to do with football. The product on the park will get worse with tighter smaller leagues and more to lose, The cost for the fans will come up, as players demand more money. And clubs will pay to safegaurd there league survival. The clubs will end up in more debt as they try to keep in the league. This could be the beginning of the end for the game in our country as we know it.
