  1. How about a red & yellow reproduction of the Callanish standing stones? They're part of our Scottish cultural heritage and there's a bonus; if the team isn't performing too well, we can ceremonially sacrifice a virgin at the next spring/autumn equinox! Mind you…….finding a virgin in Maryhill, that's going to be problematic.

    Who Is He?

Is he "the man who is an anagram"?

Signed up………the price is less than a couple of pints a month, the money goes to the club; no contest really.
  4. Just come out from behind the sofa. An away draw when we were reduced to ten men isn't so bad after all.........not good for my stressed out heart, but not bad in the great universe that is Scottish first division football! Now, where's that whiskey?
  5. Yes, I remember the Pink Panthers, the only entertaining thing in a very boring game. You could tell they were pished by the way one of them kept trying to put his panther head on back to front!
  6. I remember once seeing them, about 15 minutes before kick-off. They were walking up Maryhill Road, near Queen's Cross. They were in single file, cowls completely over their heads and arms folded with their hands hidden up the sleeves of their robes………. spooky!
  7. no need………..it says, "Titanic sunk; everybody saved - Record exclusive!" Underneath is a one paragraph story titled, "Will this be Thistle's year?"
  8. Perhaps they did it because, like the Nazis, they're a bunch of losers.
  9. Yes! Whatever the outcome, this is the season we will talk about for years to come. Whether it be, "remember when…….." or, "if only we had…….", it's so good to be able to experience the moment. The SPL may well be SPHell but, let's go for it, and let's go for it full-throttle!
  10. Wonderful pictures. Who needs a written summary of the game when photo 8 does it all; Jags jubilant - Dunfermline despondant!
  11. Who is Gareth Evans? Why should I care about him? More importantly, why have I wasted precious minutes of my life reading three pages of hype about Gareth Evans; and how having him as manager would be even better than a 4 - 0 away win? I'm away to switch on the telly and see if they're putting on any repeats of "Henry's Cat", a character so miserable that, if he had opposable thumbs, could easily become a poster on this forum.
  12. Nowadays, I seem to spontaneously combust at some point during every Jags game I see. Do you think I should spray myself with fire retardant gloop immediately before the Ramsden's Cup final and stitch the requisite safety label onto my left earlobe? I'm only thinking of the people next to me that may be seared if I ignite.
  13. I disagree. An away draw against Morton when we are down to ten men is a good result. It takes an awful lot of pressure off the squad. Morton will have wanted to win this one. They failed . They will be feeling a bit of pressure now and will become liaible to making mistakes. In short; everything to play for!
  14. …that there really are 10ft tall creatures from mars living in my wardrobe?
  15. After hearing the Banana Splits so many times I think we have to go for another song with a similar theme of after-dinner ice-cream desserts; how about Little Richard's Tutti-Frutti? To conclude, I would just like to add - awop-lopadoobop-alop-bamboom!
  16. Apparently "the Rangers" intend to pull out of Scottish football completely if these proposals go ahead. Hmmmmmm! It really puts you in a bit of a quandary, doesn't it?
  17. Worried?…………….What!……..Me worried!!!!!!!!?
  18. We lost the game because we didn't take our chances in the first half; we could have won or, at least, drawn the game if some of our first half opportunities hadn't been squandered. As for the ref; did anyone else notice the number of times when he'd make a decision for a throw-in or a free kick and then turn his back on the ball - it was if, after making his decision, he was no longer interested. The media constantly reminds us of falling attendances at Scottish games. Yesterday's game is a good example of why people won't go back. Why support a sport where the officials' decisions are inexplicable and/or bizarre?
  19. http://static.guim.c...ombliboo460.jpg Polka-dot shorts! I mean…..are they cool?……. or are they COOL! edited to add….next season's home away and change strips?
  20. Excellent, strategic win! Boxing Day's game should be good- I'll definitely be going!
  21. …all this arguing!? I'm quite sure I, (and everone else who wants to be there) will have no problem getting a ticket. I'm also quite sure that, given the importance of the occasion, I'll be happy to sit anywhere in the stadium…….. …………..just as long as I'm not next to any riffraff!
